We came to New Haven mainly for the pizza! And it did not disappoint! We also tried several other local breweries and restaurants during our stay. We loved that New Haven was fairly walkable, or a quick drive to destinations!

I've seen it change over the last 25 years, but always fun to see some of my old haunts still thriving. Atticus for pastries, Claire's for carrot cake, Louie's for a burger, Bar for pizza and salad.

Staying downtown is hard to navigate by car due to limited parking. It is walkable though. Lots of heavy traffic.

Yale area is great! Off street parking is quite convenient. Homeless people on the street is a problem.

There should be more community events which will help students from different cultures come together, mingle and learn and support each other.
Hotel Marcel New Haven, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

"This hotel is AWESOME! It’s an architectural landmark! I could tell that the exterior looked old and the interior looked new- but I had no idea it was designed by Marcel Breuer (a famous architect). I then found out that the movie “The Brutalist” was based on his work. It’s one of only ten LEED certified platinum hotels in the US. They have a free shuttle (which was a beautiful electric Hyundai). They even had nice bicycles to borrow. I think it was worth paying another $20 to get a room with a water view. "
"I love this hotel! I've stayed in several other hotels in NH but this one is my favorite. Love the collegiate decor and the Yale theme throughout. The staff is helpful, the rooms are small but cozy and nicely decorated. The location is ideal and love having a cafe in the lobby to grab coffee in the AM."
"The hotel was beautiful but the staff really made it stand out. From the front desk staff to the restaurant staff, no request was ever too much and everything was done with a smile. I would definitely stay here again. 9/10! "
