Very cute little waterfront town with little shops to get souvenirs, fudge, and ice cream. Multiple dining options, a beach, and a lighthouse. It is very quiet at night and peaceful. You can see so many stars at night.

I enjoy the parks and trails in the area the most. It's a beautiful area and there is so much available with the State Parks, city parks, and National Forest Day Use Areas.

A safe resort town with plenty of shops and restaurants. It was close to all the sights we wanted to see in the upper peninsula and Mackinac Island.

We love both sides of the bridge, it is our favorite vacation getaway place. Such nice people in the UP. Very refreshing. Just wish a few more places would have been open. We were there just a bit too soon. Still love the Straits area.

Pleasantly surprised by St. Ignace. Our primary goal was to go to Mackinaw Island. We wandered downtown and had an excellent meal at the Gangplank. We ran across the local park, with a scheduled musician. Very quaint, friendly town!

St. Ignace does not have nearly as many shops as Mackinaw City does. Which is a con, but it is much less conjested and quieter than Mackinaw City. If you are looking for quiet and peaceful, St. Ignace is the place to stay.

Smaller, quieter version of Mackinac City with a bit slower pace, but the dining and shopping options are on par with or better than Mackinac City.

"This is a quiet, well kept property. Everything was in great working order, very clean. The bed was excellent. Very nice pool area. The staff was very professional and polite. I would absolutely stay here again."
"For the price this hotel is clean and quiet. It’s also an easy walk to the ferry and downtown area. We had a very small issue with our room, Carrie the manager took care of it by moving us to a new room without hesitation. We are grateful for that and would not hesitate to stay here again."
