The hotel was right next to the Vienna Gate of the Castle District, so very convenient to visit Buda Palace and the entire Castle District (without having to climb up). We (couple 55 /58) went for a long weekend. This is a perfect base for exploring Budapest and its many attractions. We bought a couple of 72 hour public transport tickets at the airport for about 4000 ft (£12 ) each, which dealt with all our transport requirements for the three days including travel from and back to the airport. My 3 night stay at Carlton Buda Castle was simply amazing. The staff were professional, helpful and available even during my 3:15am late check-in. Everything in my room was of exceptional quality, the twin single beds were very comfortable and clean as well as the en-suite which was modern, spacious and extremely well-maintained. We knew the hotel was slightly outside the centre, but decided that the difference in price would cover any taxis we might need and leave loads for spending. The breakfast was included and was absolutely outstanding in variety and quality. Free use of the spa was a bonus and there is a bowling alley on site( we didn’t use/ see it.) The desk staff responded immediately when we had requests. The room we had was huge with a lovely wet room.
We really enjoyed our stay in this magnificent little hotel. The style of the interior is very noble and you feel at home immediately. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We had no issues in any way. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom has everything you could need. Everything is stylish in a rather dark themed way. The location is perfect to stroll around by foot. Thanks for having us. We would choose this hotel again immediately.
