"Perfect location for Universal right by the shops and restaurants. Friendly staff and room was a perfect size for 4 people. We also had a fantastic view out the window. We enjoyed the breakfast and the free food and drinks in the welcome lounge in the afternoon. Would recommend."
"This hotel was really nice. The ease of access made it wonderful. On the 4th floor there are vending machines, his & her onsen's (no tattoos allowed), a 7-11 convenience store, a laundry (pay per wash & dry, usually busy in the evenings), & a cool vacuum sealing machine to help make packing your suitcase easier (300 yen per pack). The rooftop view is unmatched. Theres a pool and hot tub up there with a 40th floor view of Osaka which is incredible in the day, at sunset, & at night, & there is no charge, access is included with the room. There are a few restaurants, not really any vegan/vegetarian options but the 7-11 does have some. The hotel is clean, the rooms are lovely with space under the bed for your suitcases. Windows only open a crack for ventilation but the view from the roof makes up for that. Cleaning is by request only but they leave you fresh towels, robes, and amenities in a bag at your door every day and you just put your old ones in the bag and hang it outside your room for pickup. There are signs in english all over the room that have valuable information relevant to your stay. The tv home screen has an informative video that also has many informative tips relevant to your stay. I recommend you read the signs, watch the video, & familiarize yourself with everything when you arrive. Some signs are in Japanese, use the google translator app, its a huge help. The staff was helpful & friendly and check-in and out is super fast and easy! Lovely hotel!"
"Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka feels surprisingly luxurious for the price—grand, elegant, and far more upscale than expected. The hotel is extremely convenient to Namba Station, with direct access through a vast network of underground walkways that makes getting around Osaka effortless.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the classic European-inspired design adds to the sense of staying somewhere special. Staff were friendly and helpful, and views from the higher floors are excellent.
Overall, this is a beautifully appointed and very reasonably priced hotel that serves as an outstanding base for exploring Osaka."
