A very minor grumble

My only minor grumble is for a larger TV in the room. Everything else was great

10/10 Exceptional

Great little place to stay with really welcoming and friendly staff. We had a beautiful clean and cosy warm room with all the options as described in our booking. We dined in the restaurant and the food was tasty and well prepared. We would definitely stay here again. Easy walk to some local trails and town was an easy walk or drive down the road. Thank you

David, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Good priced accommodation.

The Narrowboat hotel pub was average but served its purpose which was to provide affordable accommodation near to a venue where we were attending a wedding. The rooms were basic, would have benefited from being ‘aired’ as they smelt musty. Our front door looked like someone had tried to force it open but it was secure- all just a little tired! The breakfast we had in the pub was lovely and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Accommodation was fairly priced for the facilities offered and the food was good value. The location being next to the canal was lovely.

Very good value for money , clean and all facilities you need. Dont do breakfast but recommend a cafe called Granny’s in Weedon which was excellent. We had an evening meal at the narrow boat which was very good

Basic and clean

The room was basic which was reflected in the cost. It was very clean. Staff were very welcoming.

8/10 Very good

We arrived at 17:45 on the Sunday, to find that the kitchen closed at 18:00. We had just walked 14 miles as part of our Grand Union Canal walk for Yorkshire Cancer Research. The staff were very accommodating and we were well fed! The shock was when we received the receipt for the meals and a few beers and a 10% service charge had been added. We were not asked whether we wanted to pay that. Given the circumstances, we would probably have agreed to it, but it would have been nice to be asked.
Anthony, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Pub is closed on Sunday evenings and Monday morning so only contact we had was to pick key up, so cannot really comment on service. Lodge was clean but looking a bit tired, but was fine for a one night stay.

Good stay

Always nice stay , TV needs to be bigger
Keith, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Very comfortable room in a building across the carpark from the Inn, meaning no disturbance from pub chatter etc. Plenty of parking. The inn itself had a good menu, good service and a relaxed ambience. Right next to the Grand Union canal for a tow path walk.
