This is a great little place to stay over just rest your weary head
Simple basic accomodation - no bar fridge, no kettle/microwave in room.
Tea/coffee and complimentary breakfast in public dining room : )
Box aircon/hearing so noisy compared to split systems but it does the job
No electric blankets or spare blanket.
No wardrobe .
Just basic simple accomodation for anyone travelling and needing a bed for the night and value for money for people on a budget or not wanting modern accomodation with the usual things.
Provides dinner and lunch - in dining room or bar - great meals at reasonable prices.
Lovely spacious bar with wood heater
Pool table, dart boards and old pokies machines.
Outdoor dining area .
On - site parking at the back .
Friendly staff ,lovely locals and free wifi and great location !
Highly recommend to call in on your travels : )

This is nothing short of a 'serial killer hotel'. The whole room was filthy! The room has raw timber exposed floorboards and they were filthy. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere. Curtains bearly covered the windows. The main door lock is a simple push snib lock, if you put a shoulder to the door then you could easily break in - it was not safe or secure AT ALL.
Cockroach ran across the floor in the morning and the smoke detector was just exposed wires hanging from the detector base housing. The bed was tiny and my husband (who is very tall) did not fit in the bed and was hanging out the end of it all night. There is no fridge in the room, and as we were road tripping there was nowhere to store our food or re-freeze our ice pack for the next day (so had to throw out a lot of food). There was no remote for the TV and when we asked for one, it was all too hard for the staff and they were not really willing to sort anything out.
We went to the pub part for dinner and food took nearly 1.5 hrs to arrive and we ordered just burgers. The chicken burger had been deep fried within an inch of its life and was like eating a wooden plank in bread.
The whole building has raw timber floorboards and there were people thumping around in the hallway starting from 5am, waking us up constantly. The noise was awful and knowing how flimsy the door lock was - did not leave us feeling safe at all. I would have felt safer sleeping locked in my car overnight! Hotel, not fit for people at all.

We booked this place to stop and rest for a few hours on the way from Whyalla to Melbourne. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. We accessed the breakfast room for a quick cuppa but could have had breakfast. The staff were very helpful with our after hours (1.00 am) check in. The room was value for money and the only challenge was the light directly outside the window and the traffic going past on the highway, which felt like metres from our window. Overall we were happy as it served our purpose. The customer service was excellent.

Art town.
Beautifully presented room. Good shower pressure. Room was small but adequate. I was surprised there was no fridge, but its a pub not a motel. Food was innovative and superb! We cameto see the silo art. It was disappointing nocolour. The other community art was outstsnding, espevislly the tile composition in front of the loos.. with its native animals. The Vision tunnel under the railway line with painted scenrs by thecommunity was fabulous. I recommend the pub.
