I arrived late to check in and the front desk person argued with me about a particular detail. The parking area had a few people sitting in their cars, one smoking weed, and I didn’t feel safe at all. When I got to my room, it smelled like mold, the laminate was peeling off the furniture and particular board was exposed, there was no top blanket, just a thin sheet and small blanket folded at the foot of the bed. There were random hairs in the bed and when I pulled up the thin blanket, something flew off of it. The walls were so thin you could hear everything in the next room. I messaged Hotels.com and they contacted the front desk to say I complained and she called me to ask why I didn’t tell her first and I could talk to the manager in the morning. She said the best she could do would be to send clean linens, which she didn’t. Thankfully the morning staff cancelled my remaining reservation and refunded my money.
