Bahia offers a good variety of entertainment for kids, our 5yo made a lot of friends with staff at kids club and all the people were very friendly and accommodating. Dining options are good enough and at the average level of all-inclusive options here in Bavaro. For people who complain about deserts: those are european style and sweet enough, now you understand how much sugar actually in your US food. Evening entertainment was really good compared to other hotels in Bavaro area we experienced earlier. There is very nice light and music show at the castle every evening at 8pm.
We took off one star for a bunch of minor things, really: the property shows its age and really asking for a renovation. That include kids club and apartments. If you have kids who need to take a nap during the day - ask for a quiet apartment that is not facing castle/main pool, the entertainment there is very loud. The building itself, with long corridors, make you hear every noice in the hall, and stuff/their radios could be quite loud. The drinks zone at Truck Cafe at the beach feels filthy and smells really bad. Food is ok there, would be nice to get "fries only" option in the menu for the kids. Its not always easy to find a spot at the beach after 10a and people still tend to "reserve" those despite signs that prohibit that. Service at dining could be hit and miss, but I would say it's on the average level with other all-inclusive options here in Punta Cana. People still very friendly though.
