This place was a true gem, gorgeous grounds and a stunning historical building with 12 foot ceilings and huge windows. The beds were comfortable and the bath very clean, we loved the tropical flowers and plants and enjoyed a fantastic Italian meal at the restaurant. The decor was tasteful and inviting. Everyone was very nice and helpful, we wish we could have stayed longer to explore Lugano but we had a train to catch in the morning.

Ostello e hotel ubicati in posto tranquillo, in mezzo alle palme. La visita sul Monte San Salvatore molto bella. Suggerisco ritorno a piedi per godersi il bosco. Servizio di trasporto pubblico vicino ed eccellente. Se sei ospite di hotel e ostello i mezzi sono gratis.

Was soll ich sagen... Ein A4-Blatt mit vier Seiten der Hotel- & Hostel-Regelungen Montarina: präzise und detailliert, aber das Beste kommt später... Da steht unter anderem: Nachtruhe: von 22:00 bis 7:00 Uhr! Aber oh je: in 11 Nächten KEIN KOMMENTAR!!! Ja, man kann sich entspannen, die Luganer Luft bringt Entspannung: aber an Schlaf kommt überhaupt nichts!!! Ich habe 11 schlaflose Nächte verbracht!!! Ich habe Geld gespart, ich habe gearbeitet, ich konnte Essen aufwärmen, aber ich konnte überhaupt nicht schlafen! Absolut nichts!!! Und das ist Giuseppe aus Palermo und seinem ständig neu formierenden Team von Ausreißern zu verdanken, die versuchen, arme Seelen im Austausch für eine Phantomfreundschaft, ihre Habseligkeiten, anzuwerben. Und die ganze Nacht lang laufen sie im Zimmer auf und ab, schlurfen mit den Füßen, als wären sie die einzigen dort, und selbst wenn sie nicht mehr im Zimmer wohnen, bleiben sie immer noch dort. Ganz zu schweigen vom Schlüssel, um nach 23:00 Uhr hineinzukommen, den Giuseppe nicht hat und der anordnet, die Tür unverschlossen zu lassen!!!! Video folgt auf „VETRINA ITALIANA“!!!!

I really loved my stay here! It was one of the highlights of my trip as the hostel is really beautiful, lovely staff and great pool area with a view of the mountains! The lady at reception recommended I take the breakfast buffet as well and it was amazing! Every food you could ever dream of in a beautiful setting! Definitely a 10/10, would highly recommend!

Værelset var simpelt. Ikke specielt gode madrasser men rent og pænt med aircon der virkede. Fælles bad og toilet simpelt, rent og pænt. Rengøringen er god. Pool og poolområde ersuper fint. Ligger tæt på banegården.

Great spot by the train station. Room small but nice and clean for the 3 of us. Aircon was great in the heat when we stayed. Staff extra helpful. Cooking facilities were great and not too crowded at meal time. Breakfast in the nearby shared hotel was excellent.. kept us going for the day. Would stay here again. We were 1 adult and a 12 and a 14 year old (girls). Highly recommend.

This property was fantastic for the price. It was super clean and the staff was fantastic. Super close to train station for daily excursions. My daughter was in the hostel next door with her study abroad program. This could not have been better. Such a beautiful place and within walking distance to town. Loved it!!
