Room was clean, staff were lovely. Steps were alot to get to room but thats part of the fun. The room was perfect for what we wanted/needed. Ideal location too, close to everything. Smoking was allowed on the balcony too which was great.

Stayed for kingsday, location was great close to everything we needed. Stairs with no elevator, which we knew, but very steep stairs. Not for old people or heavy bags. dusty in the room and also noticed some bugs. I hope it wasnt bed bugs. need some renovatons and rough cleaning. the standard wasnt great very basic hotel. U have to check in down the street which was fine but also alot of stairs to the reception. Luckily one of us could stay down on the street so we didnt have to carry them up twice.

I wouldn’t book it it again. Here is why… - It is not cheap, compare to what it is - Very small room and bathroom. - Some of the sheets had stains. - Beds were sunk down. - The bathroom light doesn’t turn off, so it is on all the time. - The bedroom had an interesting smell - The wall are super thin. The person next to us had at least 3-4 hour call in the middle of night and you can hear everything. Luckily he checked out on the next day.

If you can avoid booking this hotel. It's terrible

It is an old Amsterdam building and it is fine but there is no elevator and the reception is in another building nearby. Carrying the suitcase up to the fourth floor was traumatic. The stairs are very narrow and there is no one to help. I am 66 years old and I travel alone. The room was very small, impossible to close the window was blocked. The bed was rather hard and narrow, there is absolutely no room to move. Overall the room and the small bathroom were clean apart from the smell of mold that is throughout the building. I strongly advise against those who need a minimum comfort. You will not find any here. I stopped for only 1 night, more difficult to resist. Also the price was in line with other much more comfortable hotels. I had a terrible time

The hotel was in a great area. We were on the back side and not facing the main road so it was very quiet at night. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was recently renovated. The only downside was that there was a ton of very narrow stairs to get up to reception and then a narrow spiral staircase to get up or down to the rooms. Make sure to look at all the pictures to get an idea of what they look like. Don't book this place if you have mobility issues, heavy luggage, or plan on stumbling back drunk or you probably won't make it up the stairs.
