The accommodation is not what it advertised
Pelican Sands Scamander listed on Hotels.com as 4 Star but is a very basic 2 Star accommodation. We selected and paid for a 4 Star accommodation as we were on a driving trip so hoping to stay somewhere reasonably comfortable to have a good rest. However, this place basically ruined our plan for the following day. We had little rest for the one-night stay.
The place is very rundown, it is nothing like what it shows in the photos. The blinds are broken, inside the living area can be seen from the road at night, the curtains next to the beds are just a thin fabric and narrower than the width of the window, so the sunshine flooded the room about 5am. There is bedside lamp but there is no power point next to the bed but a pile of tangled extension cord.
The bathroom not only just has empty shampoo/conditioner and shower gel bottles, the lids of the bottles were also left aside.
It listed there was an eatery, but the cafe next door was abandoned (completely empty) a long time ago. There is no eatery as it advertised.
It would be nothing wrong with this accommodation if it was honestly listed as it is. Instead, it dishonestly advertised and charged to an accommodation it is not.
