Probably the best and friendliest pub I have ever stayed in. Superb service with fantastic food, the breakfast was at another level. Will certainly visit again and thank you so much for looking after myself and my son.

2/10 Poor

Got there to find the bar etc shut at 6. This pub is in the middle of no where was not offered a drink as a resident and no food, not even a sandwich.

Off the beaten track but not remote

Lovely clean room in the stables across the car park from the inn. Brilliant friendly service, with decent meal choice and an excellent breakfast. Couldn't recommend this more.

Lovely old pub with very attractive rooms. Beautiful area...exquisite village surrounded by wonderful countryside. My room was in need of some updating. We weren't shown to rooms on arrival but staff were friendly. My chicken dish was excellent.

Very pleasant mine host and friendly breakfast cook; comfortable room; (but bathroom daddy longlegs spider by wash-basin could perhaps have been rehoused). A nice overnight stay at a reasonable price

Gem of a pub and B&B

What a lovely village pub. The staff were really friendly and breakfast was excellent. The room was a little tired and a little small, but good value for money. Would certainly visit again.

A beautiful pub with stunning garden and setting, great food and beer selection. Staff are really helpful and attentive. Rooms are a little old but still very comfy and have everything you need. I stayed for business in the area but a great place for a holiday stop as well!

Good choice while house-hunting in the area. Quiet clean room with ample breakfast options and a good restaurant for an evening meal. Missed having a shower - bath only.

Charming Place

A very lovely pub in a picturesque village. Spacious rooms, friendly staff, very good food and a broad selection of wines and beers. I arrived just in time for the last dinner order, thankfully. Breakfast was included in my stay and was also very nice. The pub is very homely, warmly lit and has a classic village inn feel. The bathroom in my room could probably benefit from a slight cosmetic improvement but that is a minor point on what was overall a pleasant but brief stay.

Amazing Experience Thanks to Thea and Great Food

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, and the service was absolutely amazing. Thea was fantastic and really made the experience special. The food was great, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The personal touch throughout the stay was a breath of fresh air.

Lovely stay

A lovely stay at the greyhound.Staff really helpful special mention for Thea who was bright and cheerful every morning. Breakfast was excellent and we really enjoyed our dinner one evening. Had lovely weather so able to sit outside under the grape vines. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

6/10 Good

The inn is adorable, if remote. Taxis from the train station are a bit tricky to get and expensive. Staff was fantastic and a lot of fun. Breakfast is great. Main issue is that my room absolutely reeked of tobacco. My "non smoking room" was definitely a smoking room at some point. I choked from the moment I arrived. After 48 hours all of my clothes smell horrible and I have to be in the UK for work for another three days. I could leave the windows open, but giant spiders were coming in. No other source of ventilation. The property desperately needs to re-do the carpet, wall paper, everything. I hate leaving this review because the place is otherwise charming and this inn seemed much better than the nearby hotels my friends were staying in. But until this problem is fixed, avoid the "Teddy" room. I'm going to be searching for febreeze. The other issue is that every time I tried to order food that wasn't breakfast, I was told the kitchen was too busy. There are no other food options for miles. So bring some snacks - I wish I did! It's doubly disappointing because the food on the website looks absolutely fantastic.

Shower no hot water first day then for the other two days water warm but not not much above a dribble. The food and the restetaunt were excellent as were the staff. The bedrooms need an upgrade.

We only stayed one night in a double room with en-suite in Hattie’s House which is a building across the car park and had a wonderful evening meal in the pub itself. The interior of the pub was exceptionally warm and inviting. The breakfast was good also.
