Booked in for a quick overnight Sunday. Yes, it was cheap through Lastminute, get what you pay for I guess, but no dining facilities (Cafe Primo shut down), bar was open, staff (one person) friendly.

Review of n°4 room New Whyalla Hotel 10 Gowrie av
No private parking,(street parking). Wasn't told that the restaurant wasn't operating that night ( reason why i chose that hotel to have access to dinning). Someone opened our door while we were inside the room. After going to complaint about it, i was told that it was a personal member who had the spare key by mistake. We will not comeback to that hotel, overall not worthy of the $99 we paid.

Nothing new about the hotel. Bed was comfortable. Room clean but don't look to close. Well worth the money. Convenient dining downstairs, and great food.

The locals love their Karaoke and there’s some talent in Steel Town! They know how to party too

An older premises in good condition. Very comfortable bed and plenty of shampoo and conditioner for use in shower. Breakfast cereal and tea and coffee provided together with bottled water for use in kettle. Overall good value.

Room was basic but safe secure and in a good position, Staff were very helpful, food and beer were good only slight negative is you could hear the music from the Bar a little in our room at the stairs end, possibly ask for a room down the other end if you think it could bother you.

Accommodation is all up stairs above pub/gambling facility. Difficult to find as signage is limited.

From the outside the entire hotel looks like a prison, and in a dodgy area. Inside hotel was only a few gamers and couple people in the bar. Staff were unwelcoming, seemingly spacey, and claimed there were going to have a busy evening and that it would be an inconvenience to order food from them. Room was very dated and dark, we somehow managed to laugh at the fact we’d booked this room based on a different appearance when booking online. Definitely not worth the stay.

We came from Adelaide for a 50th party overnight so really just needed somewhere to sleep, however the electricity kept shutting down on one side of the room which was very frustrating. The room is also in dire straits of an upgrade!! The staff were very helpful in giving us extension cords to help with our needs but overall a disappointing stay. We wouldn't stay again.

Loved the service, the room was very basic which was what i need for only staying for 24 hours Only issue i had when you turning the shower on if the pressure got to high it would fall down. Other than that, was a good and pleasant stay, check in and out was so easy and the staff we polite and friendly

Old Rundown, I think a prison cell would have been bigger. Cold, crammed but the restaurant was good and the staff were very friendly
