Perfect location for the Grand Canyon

Thunderbird Lodge was the perfect location for our 3-night stay to visit the Grand Canyon. Our room was no more than 20 metres from the edge of the canyon itself and the South Rim Trail passes through the site of the village's main hotel / lodge area, so it's super easy to access the trail whenever you like. Staff were really friendly and we found the prices of food and gifts in the shops to be reasonable - especially given you're a captive audience!

Amazing property right on the Rim Trail of the Grand Canyon. Comfortable beds, clean and tidy. Parking is difficult - no dedicated parking sports so you have to take your chances of finding a spot on the public roads along with the thousands of other visitors.

Pros: The Grand Canyon outside your door. Welcoming and friendly staff, great food options - and no judgement when you walk into a high end dining room in shorts and a t-shirt (hadn’t expected to be eating there…), great vintage room - with really comfortable beds and a strong shower.
