Great location, great rooms!
The hotel is in a perfect location, the rooms were spacious, modern and clean, and the staff were very helpful. Use of the spa pool and dry sauna were included in our stay. The sauna was great. Would have given 5 stars except the food, which was included in the price, was really bad. We only ate dinner there the first of two nights after tasting the food. I could say more about this, but hopefully the hotel management has a plan for improving. Breakfast was abundant, but so-so at best. We had a mishap with laundry that took a very long time for the hotel to resolve, causing us to almost miss our train to Cusco. They billed us for 30 instead of 3 pair of pants and it seemed to take many layers of authorization to correct the error.

We had a great time in El MaPi - clean property with friend staffs. It is easily walkable between hotel, train station, and bus station.

Great Accomodation

Wonderful Stay
We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel felt very luxurious. It was nice the channels on the television were in English. The staff made us feel welcomed and they went out of their way to accommodate us.

Preciso che avevamo una suite, camera umida senza aria condizionata e con un calorifero elettrico ed uno portatile, letto con coperta o trapunta pesante e poco calda, doccia con tappetino di plastica antiscivolo e non igienico. Abbiamo chiesto delle pantofole da camera ma non erano disponibili, ho sollecitato evidenziando che era un hotel 4 stelle e mi sono state fornite delle ciabatte nere di plastica tutte sformate fornite nella S.P.A., vergognose! Colazione assolutamente scadente. Da non tornarci e da non consigliare

Caro vs lo recibido
El hotel es de los más bonitos, bien ubicado y la comida muy rica, sin embargo, la habitación fue muy ruidosa, el personal no tiene una buena capacitación en cuanto a cuidar la experiencia al huésped, hace ruidos de limpieza desde las 6am, los radios de comunicación a todo volumen y en personal del front desk da mucho que decir.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel was close to the Incarail station. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was SPECTACULAR. Having breakfast and dinner included really improved our stay. I want to give a special shout out to the bar staff who treated us well. I highly recommend this hotel.

A staff member met me at the train station and escorted me to the hotel which was a nice touch and just a short 5 minute walk. I reserved one of the deluxe rooms. The use of the word deluxe is done loosely. The room was quite small but the worst part (and perhaps should have caught it earlier) is that the room didn’t have any AC system. It was quite stuffy. You could leave the window open but not only it didn’t provide much inbound fresh air but you’d be subjected to loud noise (music, people, crying babies) from the street. If you are a light sleeper expect it to be challenging with the noise. Bathroom was small but sufficient. Bring some toiletries since they only provide shampoo and conditioner. The mattress is rock hard so if you like it then it’ll work well for you. I also found the pillows to be uncomfortable. The complimentary breakfast buffet was elaborate and probably has more items than you’d care to eat early morning before exploring Machu Picchu. They also provide a buffet lunch for around $20 USD and a la carte dinner. I tried the lunch buffet and it was also very elaborate. On the site they have a picture of a jacuzzi so I assumed it was part of the hotel guest amenities. I was wrong. They have a spa but you need to pay a day pass to access the amenities. Check out time is 10am so if you’re hiking and/or visiting Machu Picchu in the morning plan accordingly since they charge a hefty amount if you request a late check out.

The hotel staff were unbelievably helpful, from helping us print tickets to bringing our luggage to the train station…probably the most helpful hotel staff I have ever encountered - thank you! The one downside to this property was the walls between the rooms were very thin - when someone set an alarm in the next room, you could clearly hear it.

Our stay at the MAPI hotel was a bittersweet experience. We were initially excited to stay at a hotel that not only serves its guests but also supports the local community. The photos of the property, along with the advertised amenities like the restaurant, bar, and especially the spa, looked promising. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t match our expectations. The check-in process was chaotic, with multiple guests arriving at the same time, causing confusion and delays. We were offered a complimentary dinner and breakfast, but our first dinner was extremely disappointing. The suggestions and service were subpar. To make matters worse, I fell in the shower on our first night, which added to the discomfort of our stay. Fortunately, I wasn't seriously injured, but it was a concerning experience. However, the next day, Danilo, one of the younger servers, approached us and provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to make up for the previous night's shortcomings. His professionalism was a bright spot in an otherwise frustrating experience. Another issue we encountered was with the spa services. We were looking forward to using the sauna and pool, but the staff in charge were unavailable, and we were only offered service by appointment at times that were inconvenient for us. Love the hotel
Love the hotel. Remarkable clean and right at the center of aguas calientes. The restaurant was fine and breakfast quite good.

2nd visit to Machu Pichu after 18 yeas
Good access to the train station. Dinner and breakfast included. Better than expected. Very simple room just to sleep. Friendly staff.
