Guest room safety and Security at stake!
Checked in by John – efficient, friendly, and fast. Checked out by Kumothy – smooth and professional. Both were excellent. But this stay was ruined by a serious security breach and incompetent handling by staff.
On 22/08/25, housekeeping left my room door (1306) unlocked after cleaning – a reckless and unacceptable mistake. I reported it, but shockingly, the same staff member came back, banged on my door, and rang the bell repeatedly despite the DND sign. When I opened the door, he rudely asked, “What is the problem?” No apology, no accountability. I had to raise my voice – the problem is you left my room unsecured. His tone was aggressive, disrespectful, and confrontational.
Even worse, the receptionist who took my call clearly had no idea how to handle the situation. Instead of proper escalation or apology, I was left to deal with the same staff member again. This kind of response is absolutely unacceptable. It shows a complete lack of training and basic guest care.
That said, I appreciate the other housekeeping staff who cleaned my room after the incident – polite, respectful, and professional.
Yes, the water was yellowish due to tank cleaning (hotel gave notice), but the real issue is safety, staff behavior, and poor handling.
This could have been a 5-star stay. But guest safety and staff conduct are non-negotiable.
