From the moment we were greeted by the friendly reception staff to the arriverdici’s exchanged as we departed, the Zaroner Family's Hotel Alpen Panorama exceeded our every expectation.
The building was well maintained, artfully decorated, spacious, and extremely pleasant with adequate parking. Located a brief, exhilarating, 1/3 mile stroll from the town center, the hotel environs are open and free from congestion.
Our adequately sized, updated room was immaculate and modern. The mattresses were firm and the individual down comforters provided total warmth at night. The bathroom was spotless with modern fixtures. The room had a large balcony with impressive views.
Breakfasts were hearty with typical assortments of fresh cold cuts, cheeses, pastries, breads, cereals, fruits, juices, and coffees. But the pièce de résistance was the gourmet dining experience offered every evening at 7:15 pm. The cuisine was varied, running the gamut from local specialties (sausage with polenta) to the exotic (ravioli with artichokes mousse and curry prawns ragout). All of the dinners were prefaced with a vegetable buffet that was fresh and varied. My family had only kudos for the chef after each and every meal. An excellent selection of local wine varieties was available at each sitting. Service was attentive and outstanding from the Zaroners and staff.
When Mr. Zaroner asked me if this was my first trip to the area, I cheerfully replied, “Si, but it will not be my last.”
