The room was very quiet although I did hear the TV in the neighboring room for about an hour, which was slightly annoying. Luckily it stopped at around the time I went to bed. Breakfast buffet was very good.

the staff are all very nice. the whole hotel gives a cosy family hotel vibe and are very friendly to foreign visitors. Even though we made a mistake of late check in due to reservation issue, the staff are still very patient in handling it and we appreciate that a lot.

Good location, nice breakfast

I had booked a single room with a private bathroom. Well, the private bathroom is located in a different space next to the room, so you have to go to the corridor to get to your bathroom. Luckily at least the sink was in the room. Not the comfiest to sleep in, you can hear everything from the corridor. Also the pillow was so weird, like a blanket squished in half. But the breakfast was awesome and made up all the negatives!

We choose this hotel for the location , proximity to the Koln Dom and the railway station . The hotel is in an older building and our room was quite small. It doesn’t have air conditioning and it happened that during our stay in May 12-15 Koln experienced a heat wave of 26-27 degrees Celsius. Staff was very attentive and helpful responding to our questions. Buffet breakfast was included and was excellent , so were all the restaurant staff. Highlights of our stay in Koln : visiting the amazing gothic cathedral , including the Treasure museum under the Dom, visit at Ludwig museum of Modern Art , walks along the promenade of Rhine River . PS. In our way by train from Belgium to Koln we stoped to see Aachen with the famous chapel built by Charlemagne. From Koln we also had a day trip to Bonn

I was very surprised that my bathroom was outside or next door. It was outside the room, in a separate room with an additional key. Total amount was 99 Euros. There was no information about this when booking or in advance. It was very inconvenient to take a shower or use the toilet, look around or use the key to open the light, turn on the light, etc.

This hotel is disgusting, smelly, old, not maintained properly, only 1 socket in the room, the bathroom has very bad smell. the room is wretched. Does not worth the cost at all. I stayed 2 hours in the hope to get refund , and I left the room and ordered a taxi and went to stay at Hilton Koln, since it was impossible to remain in this room, and I hope to get refund. Although they refuse. I think you are responsible for what you offer to clients and this hotel is horrible, although it gets some good reviews from clients, its not the truth. GO and check! I expect to be refunded!

Disappointing

While I reserved this hotel I was given a room in another hotel one block away but with breakfast in this hotel. The reception was also in the other hotel. Rooms were not automatically serviced either. The disappointment was compounded by having an energy tax in addition to a 'city tax' sprung on me when I checked in. There was no warning in advance about this. I understand that the energy tax is a government initiative but I found it offputting and it has put me off returning to Germany. All in all i wouldn't recommend booking this hotel.

Very close to train station and cathedral. Room was in attic up some very high stairs. There was a lot of noise from adjoining room due to closeness. Breakfast was good with freshly cooked eggs and lots of choice. Very friendly staff. Check in was unusual with using ipad and getting a code. Ideally placed for old town.

Unfreundliches Personal an der Rezeption, beim komplizierten Eincheckprozess wie eine Belastung behandelt worden. Hotel ist nicht in der Lage, eine Rechnung auf die Firmenadresse auszustellen, reagiert Rückfragen destruktiv und bösartig. Zimmer sind schlecht beleuchtet und uralt, Aufzug mit starker Tendenz zum Sicherheitsrisiko. Fernseher funktioniert nicht.

Super fint centralt hotel, med god morgenmad

Lækkert hotel centralt placeret, og nemt at komme til messecenter fra hotellet. Det tager ca 10-15 min på gåben. God morgenmad, hvor du bl.a. kan få æg lavet lige som du ønsker. Dejligt værelse, hvor der er lige det der skal være.

Hotel liegt nahe dem Rheinufer, zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Altstadt, Restaurants viele und gut. Musical Dome, Bahnhof direkt in der Nähe.

Hotel itself is showing its age, needs paint and repairs, staff not the most helpful. Good luck if you are bigger getting into the bathroom as sink and door make a tight squeeze to get into and weird 2 inch steps in places that make tripping easy.

Zeer vriendelijk en schoon

Fijn, klein hotel met zeer vriendelijke medewerkers. Je kan je bagage achterlaten als je de volgende dag nog even de stad in wilt. Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid en lekker. De eieren worden vers voor je gebakken op bestelling. De ruimtes zijn allemaal goed schoon. De badkamer is erg klein. Wel opletten: als er 'met prive badkamer' vermeld staat, kan deze zich op de gang bevinden. En er is een kleine lift aan de ene kant van het hotel, maar aan de andere kant niet. Dus afhankelijk van de locatie van de kamer heb je een lift of moet je met de trap.

This is not the most modern hotel, but the staff are the friendliest and most helpful I have come across from the check in to the breakfast service to the checking out procedure. The bathroom may have been a little small, but the welcoming nature of the place outweighed any slight hassles.
