Great hotel, great location, and amazing value. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is delicious. Definitely worth the stay!

Bed and breakfast med ældre værelser. Centralt bekiggende i forhold til banegård,busstation og spisesteder. God beliggenhed for at besøge Vieux Quebec. God morgenmad.

Our host was an amazing helpful yet funny man. He served a wonderful non hot breakfast that was excellent. Plus a wonderful cup of coffee. The hotel was vintage and very much like a small boutique hotel one might find in Paris. It was quirky and enjoyable but could use a little TLC. Maybe a paint refresh.... Nonetheless I would stay there if I ever returned to Quebec City. The location was good and the memory makes me smile.

nos dieron 2 habitaciones en una, muy amplia, limpia, excelente desayuno, termine crucero en esa ciudad y desde el puerto solo tuve que cruzar una calle y ahi estaba el hotel, muy cerca del centro historico

The place was handy and there is a parking lot just around the corner. My room was great and the owner has a good sense of humor. Oh, and the breakfast was nice as well.

Gerard was accommodating, we appreciate him waiting for us until 10:30pm because the train was delayed. We really enjoyed the breakfast he prepared. We liked the music he plays to create good vibes, and his dry sense of humour. The room will give you a glimpse of what room looks like in the past. The room was not perfect if you’re looking for a fancy room but it is neat, tidy and will give you a good sleep. Thank you Gerard 🤗

Hotel muy céntrico y familiar

Hotel pequeño y tranquilo con trato muy cercano. Ubicación excepcionalmente buena, cercano a ambas partes baja y alta del Viejo Quebec. Desayuno muy rico y abundante. Gerald, la persona que lleva el hotel, proporciona todo tipo de información y consejos de cara a disfrutar de esta ciudad, así como un trato muy familiar con abundante conversación muy enriquecedora.

Quarto amplo e limpo, café da manhã bom servido pelo divertido Gerald. Muito bem localizado, próximo a estação de trem Gare di Palais, e próximo a rua St. Jean, e as atrações da parte velha de Quebec. Cabe ressaltar que a propriedade não tem elevador, e pessoas com dificuldade de locomoção podem ter dificuldade de subir a nos escadas para acessar o quarto. Ót

L'Intendant is a charming small B&B. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and while the breakfast is the same every day, it is quite enjoyable. The B&B has three levels, but there is no elevator, so be cautious if you have mobility issues.

The location was excellent for exploring the area. Breakfast was delicious every day and real maple syrup and homemade jam were appreciated! Gerald offered assistance when needed and his dry sense of humour amusing) There was no kettle in the room if you wish to make coffee or tea. We would recommend this establishment and would stay here again.

The room was good, and location very nice. The host was a little intimidating. He served delicious breakfast everyday and gave us advice on parking and sights to see. but when we asked a question, he was a bit abrupt and not very friendly

Suggest reading other reviews before booking. The hotel is very convenient for the rail station and 10 minutes walk to Upper Quebec centre; 15 mins to Place Royale. It is definitely a "one-off" as hotels go these days. A bit like walking into a 1960s house with some furniture from the 1950s. No lift and steep stairs. Can't comment on what each room is like - we had the king bedroom. The bed was comfortable, sheets clean and a number of towels provided. There was a double jacuzzi style tub on a podium but we only used the shower above (very good). The toilet is like a cupboard built into the room (but no roof). Large TV provided but didn't use. No daily cleaning. Kettle and cups provided when requested. Breakfast was very good, though the same each day. The manager is also a one-off character. I can see why some folk felt a little uneasy or threatened but he came across to us as someone who likes to have some fun (on his terms) with guests. We went along with it got to enjoy our interactions and found him helpful. He has a good knowledge of old Quebec and wanted to share this with us. So if you are looking for the usual modern hotel, don't think this is for you but if you are looking for a reasonably priced place for somewhere to put your head down for a night or two, then it is worth considering

Quebec City adventure

This was a very comfortable provision for our one night stay following our cruise from Boston. A great price and location alternate to the congested pricey accommodations in the walled upper-old city. Just 2 blocks from the gated entry at Cote du Palais. The host was most helpful in securing our taxi for our 4am trek to the airport. Technology kicked us, the taxi was not an app request through Uber, we paid him in cash; however Uber picked the ride up on my app and not realizing this had occurred, I paid all over again when I gave a 5 star plus tip for what I thought was an incomplete ride from a previous port excursion. So Uber users beware. We are taking this in stride as we learned at airport that some were unable to secure rides in advance and therefore spent the night at the airport! Sadly, we missed the breakfast due to our early departure.

Our knowledgeable host was super helpful mapping out our sites and activities and served us a hearty, memorable meal to start each day of walking the city, including delicious homemade strawberry jam. Room was as described and worth the price. Location central and super safe. Merci Gerard pour tout!
