My stay at Home 2 in Lumberton NC was excellent; it began with the kind calm of Erica, who was managing the front desk when I arrived. Usually the obligatory greeting and question of “How are you?” is often answered like a call and response. When I was honest and shared that my senior parent was being difficult and wanted a specific floor in the hotel. Erica listened and immediately began researching how to turn things around. Erica’s customer service accumen is well beyond her young years. There is nothing more satisfying than to actually know someone is working on your behalf, and not dismissing you with an “I don’t know, talking to other employees hoping you’ll go away or give-in to their laziness, which means they checked out! Pun intended! “Erica is a keeper and should work in sales for the company in the future; at a property in a large city…she knows the brand!!!! Erica’s efforts didn’t result in my parents request, however being able to explain to the seniors her efforts,led to empathy, and made me feel heard and still accommodated. Her southern charm wins!! Later that evening a front desk team made us feel great when we emerged from the elevators in our after six formal wear for a wedding. They offered sincere compliments that made me and my 85 year old mother feel like queens! I will always choose H2S when visiting Lumberton from now on!
