Superb position in the mountainside at the top of the path to the valley below. Wheather is all important as when the cloud comes in, you see very little.
The hotel is showing its age ( and lack of maintenance).
We ate in the hotel in the evenings; there is no real option in the locality. The meals were of mixed quality but generally acceptable. This was in contrast to the breakfasts which were poor, hot items allowed to go cold on hardly warm " hotplates" and left there indefinitely. The machine juices and coffee were amongst the worst we have ever been served.
The service in general was perfunctory, this must reflect on management.
My recommendation: if you want to experience of the location, there are many day trippers, or stay for one night. If driving a hire car, you need to be a confident driver as the single road up and down is narrow and winding. These facts do not affect the local bus drivers, a concern when they appear in the opposite direction!
