Villa Blanca is a fantastic, eco friendly resort located in a cloud rain forest. Extremely customer service focused team, led by Marco E. and staff. What an incredible experience! The best staff ever everyone super friendly and helpful! They made our anniversary night super especial! From the spa to dinner to breakfast the best experience! Beautiful mountain hotel , very peaceful and enjoyable. Walks in the green tropical forest. Breakfast wasn´t the best. Even though we were the only ones in the dining room, the waiter didn´t remember small requests. But the place is awesome!

Good escape!
The Villa Blanca is an out of the way oasis. However, the road to get there is a Costa Rican nightmare. The new owner hopes to rectify that in the future. The food was very good and service very attentive. There are few activities here, but a wonderful way to relax for a day or two.

Very personable hotel. Everyone was super welcoming. Things the hotel offers: game area, movie theatre, frog/plant area, you can milk a cow in the morning, get body massage. The food in the restaurant was very good, we looked forward to eating there and it never disappointed us. I recommend the night tour (and I hate bugs) but it very educational and cool, the guide was great. There is a trail to walk around the property on your own as well. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The road to get to the hotel was in poor condition which was a bit annoying. We stayed 1 full day and a night and it was just enough, but we like to rush things, so perhaps another day for someone who likes to enjoy the quite time.

DON’T BOOK IT !
DON’T BOOK IT ! Absolutely no way this is a 4 star property. Our room didn’t even have a chair. The only place to sit was on the bed! There was no TV, no mini fridge, no desk, no AC, no power outlets near the bed. Didn’t even have a toilet paper holder! This room may have been a 2 star accommodation. And the ROAD…… The road to get to this place was literally 5 miles of potholes. This was the worst arrival experience at any hotel.

Estuvimos en Costa Rica por temas profesionales y aprovechamos de escapar algunos días de una semana intensa de trabajo. El Hotel Villa Blanca fue un lugar ideal para poder disfrutar de la naturaleza y amabilidad del pueblo costarricense sin la necesidad de moverse de un lugar a otro. Es un lugar aislada y autosuficiente. Cuenta con un bosque conservado con un guía excelente sobre la flora y fauna. Hay varios senderos auto-guiados sin mayor complejidad. Permiten apreciar la biodiversidad presente. Cuenta con un restaurante de muy buena calidad y una oferta interesante. Es una buena opción para desconectar. Lo mas complicado es los últimos 20 kilómetros para llegar al hotel debido al camino en mediocre estado.
