Great for conf at Business Design Center (BDC)

I was attending Quantum Commercializing conference at Business Design Center (BDC) 52 Upper St, this is an excellent location for that type of trip, 20 min walk. The room is small but has everything you need comfortable bed, modern decor, TV, full bathroom, small desk, kettle, I was comfortable here. Friendly Receptionist - Vidi, she was very accomodating. 10 min walk to subway, great location. I will definitely stay again, highly recommended.

5 AM Skylight, 6 AM Fire Alarm - Tiny but Chic

Booked the “cosy” category and got a designer shoebox. No windows; instead, a skylight is parked right above the bed, so daylight barges in at 05:30 whether you like it or not. At 06:00 the fire alarm chimed in, turning my early-morning stretch into an impromptu evacuation drill. Coffee never felt so deserved. The good news: everything inside that tiny footprint is quality. Mattress firm, linens crisp, enough outlets for a tech junkie, and the bathroom fixtures feel more boutique than budget. AC kept things comfortable, and because the room’s buried in the building it’s whisper-quiet - no street noise, no corridor chatter. The trade-offs: zero natural ventilation (you’ll rely on the AC 24/7) and obviously no view unless you count a patch of morning sky. Storage is Tetris-level minimal, so travel with a capsule wardrobe or be prepared to live out of your suitcase. Bottom line: great crash-pad if you rise with the sun or just need a clean, stylish base to sleep and shower. If you’re claustrophobic, cherish a lie-in, or want to gaze wistfully out a window, spring for an upgraded room - or another hotel.

Hade en stor skön säng i rummet men det var inte lätt att få plats med fötterna att nå golvet runt om och väskorna ska vi inte prata om. En svagt lysande sänglampa med en strömbrytare. Hade kanske läst illa i bokningen men frukost med en juice, banan, yoghurt o en croissant o pulverkaffe på det trånga rummet var inte vad jag hade tänkt mig. Hotellet tog bra betalt för vad vi fick jämfört med andra boenden i London.

They took my money even though the hotel was not accessible!!! They had a hand written note on the door saying use the other door and there was no other door/ not easy to find, no one answered the phone when I needed help to locate the other door!! As I girl on her own late evening I had no other choice to book somewhere else and they would not refund me!! DO NOT STAY HERE

Just do

Room was tiny, literally no room to swing a cat and not suitable for 2 people. No terrestial tv so you have to sign in on your accounts for iPlayer, ITVX etc. also security guard kept tapping on the door to ask what the room number was! Highly irregular in my view. I think a refund may be in order. If you’re thinking of booking a room here - don’t.

Staff were lovely on check in and check out. I liked the Whatsapp messaging to get the wifi password and iron/ironing board delivered to the room all without having to leave the room and go down to reception but the shower was freezing and when they came to the room to look, the chap clearly had no clue what to do as he just ran it as I had done and said he would get the plumber to attend 9am the next morning which by then I was already at client meetings. They had clearly just ran out of hot water because my neighbours shower was running for a good 40 mins..... I wasn't informed prior to the stay that the kitchen was closed and under construction so paid a fortune for breakfast in a brown paperbag which had I known about, I wouldnt have paid

Though the double room I had was small but it was very comfortable and well designed. I found the room like being in the warm cuddle of my mum. I slept very well. My only criticism is that there is no room service or restaurant. And it is a walk to find this. But I would stay there again.

Nice stay

I’ve stayed here before a while ago, however, when checking in, I had to produce a form of ID, I have no idea why and what they did with my ID when I handed it over. I just thought it was a little strange why I had to produce it when I had made the booking through Hotels.com. They made comment on where I lived, clearly checking my address, although I didn’t feel threatened and it was probably just friendly noticing I was from out of town, again was just strange having to hand ID over for proof of identity having never had to do that before. Hotel room was really nice and clean and modern, no issues with anything else.

Compact overnight stay at Kings Cross

After reading other reviews we were a bit concerned about our stay, and also the location. Nothing whatsoever to worry about. Location was fine, felt safe walking back at night. Bit of noise from outside during the night but it's central London so to be expected. Room was clean, comfortable and had all you need for an overnight stay when catching a train. Yes, it's very compact, especially the bathroom, but for location and price, no complaints at all. Staff also really friendly, helpful and welcoming, would definitely go back

Great for a short stay, great location in kingsX

Great for one night. We have a small double room which was small and good for 1 night, my 6ft tall boyfriend struggled with the small room but we only booked 2 days before and there were no bigger rooms available.
