This hotel is GREAT value! It's clean, the front desk staff is incredibly helpful, the rooms are comfortable, and it has an elevator. Yet it's the least expensive hotel we've stayed in in Italy highly recommend!

When I arrived I was told that I would be staying at another hotel due to hotel construction. The hotel staff said they sent me a message which I showed them I never received. I was escorted to a hotel that was $10 less than what I had paid for my original hotel. The hotel staff at the Holiday Hotel is rude, the toilet is broken, and the electronics keep making loud noises.

Nothing to complain about

I do not agree with the complains of other guests. My superior room 514 was spacious, clean and had a stunning view over the Old Town. I had an electric kettle to make tea and coffee. Nothing was broken. The room was really quiet. The staff will surpass your expectations. The hotel is expensive but very well located so I was happy with my choice.

very bad area, someone tried to break into our car and smashed the window. we were told there was no space in the private parking, even if we asked to reserve online via hotels.com. terrible experience

Good location & great receptionists but no comfort

Great location both near station and into centre. Nice area with lots of restaurants, cafes, shops and supermarkets nearby. Both Andrea and Roberto at reception were very helpful, friendly and the best part of the hotel. The rest not so good. I asked twice for a double bed and I received two beds joined together with a gap between. The shower was so small I could barely get inside and could not move once inside. Gets the award for the smallest shower I have ever seen. If you are a big person it will not work for you. Hotel was very clean and the room was spotless. I think hotel would be great if it had a good renovation

Quite small hotel close to the action

We found this hotel to be a good location. A few minutes walk from the train station and close to the scenic areas of Bologna. The staff were polite and friendly. Check in was easy. There is some construction next door but no noise on the weekend. The room could have used another outlet or two but I carry a power strip because of the electronic needs that I have. Close to two good coffee shops is either direction.

This hotel was NOT good… we checked in and went to shower only to find out the shower doesn’t drain at all, you can shower for 1 minute max and then it takes 5-7 minutes to drain. Notified the hotel immediately and nothing was fixed in the 3 days we were there. The room had a balcony but the metal rolling cover over it was broken so we couldn’t use it or get any airflow in the room. They were also doing renovations on the floor above ours (which we weren’t notified about in advance) so we paid full price for a room where there was EXTREMELY loud construction from 8 am until 6 pm every day we were there. Nothing about this hotel was relaxing or comforting… we were miserable while we were there. If the room had been refundable we would have moved to another hotel.

For a small budget, same level of quality

In general, it was just ok to stay there. Location close to the main station, not too far from the city center. The area is a bit popular, we didn't feel unsafe though. Soundproofing is however very bad, with normal voice conversation (as well as bathroom noises) of neighbors clearly heard in the room. We were on first floor and we heard the clerk downstairs discussing with other clients, when it's 7am or midnight it can become a bit annoying. Otherwise, the bed and pillow are ok, the room size is small but ok, same for the bathroom. No boiler, only a small fridge. A tiny television on the desk looking like a computer screen. Staff friendly and helpful.

Wouldn't recommend

Staff were friendly. However, the hotel area felt a bit shady. Rooms were extremely tiny, looked very old and nothing like the pictures. If you have a large suitcase it's not very optimal. Bathroom sink was very low, toilet seat was leaning and room was a bit dusty. Room didn't even have a proper door, only a wooden "plate" to slide. During the night, it smelled like trash occasionally which was not pleasant. Quite expensive as well and no breakfast service. Overall rating: 2/10.

Bokade innan det gjordes om till hostel. Som familj med små barn är vi kanske inte önskad målgrupp men det var ett trevligt ställe, härlig atmosfär och verkligen ett ställe jag skulle rekommendera för den som gärna umgås med andra på resande fot (och då framförallt utan barn).

4 star hostel, service on point!

Newly opened so still some construction going on both inside and outside, got compensated with free late check out. Very friendly and service oriented people, systems are not on point yet but they make up for it by being very understanding and helpful! Really good in English so communication is very easy and smooth. Good drinks and snacks combined with games makes time fly.

Brand new hotel with excellent staff

Literally just opened the day before so a couple of small issues which were dealt with promptly but will definitely be ironed out soon. Staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly. Great hostel/hotel with a good vibe. I’m sure it will only get better with time. Highly recommend a stay here for all ages.
