Great place to stay, very clean and modern although could have done with some ability to dry clothes in winter snowy conditions and privacy was slightly limited.

I didn't know what to expect as a hostel. It was newly renovated with the cutest little bunkers. I will say as a 5'4" 145lbs woman who is claustrophobic, taller and heavier people would not want to stay here. The bunkers and bathroom/shower are very tiny, I barely had room to move around. But I loved it!!!

The place looks brand new and is super clean. There were only 5 of us, so it was nice and quiet. The location offers easy access to the highway and hot springs. Definitely go for a bottom bunk, they're like a private room.

8/10 Very good

enjoyed my stay, but it is a hostel so there would still be people that don’t respect the house rules or other occupants

Cute bunks but bathrooms and top bunks are extremely small

Staff was friendly & helpful. the fan was great to have for white noise (blocked out road traffic. Even though building is beside road, was still quite quiet inside). View from back small deck are great (no chairs on this one but places to sit on front side of building) the lower bunk was nice, need to duck. Nice to have the bigger bed (top bunk is a single) and door has a chain lock. Kitchen area in nice and open with 2 mini fridges and a freezer (plenty of space when place is not full, could be more of a challenge when hostel is fully booked) I would stay again.

Excellent price, location and hostel!

I was surprised to see how quiet it was, probably because the worker sleeps there! Everything was cleaned and the room seemed renovated so don’t juste by the exterior of the building. The double bunker bed was comedy but the top single beds looked pretty smalls. I would go back because it is an excellent price for everything you access.

So clean!!!!! Quiet, great amenities. Will stay here again.
Jody, 1-night trip

This hostel is always clean. It is very small, and is not a place for visiting or partying, it is literally you walk upstairs through the kitchen and bathrooms and you are in the sleeping area, I personally like it. The bottom bunks with doors are worth the extra cost, although zero sound barrier, but you can sit up and spread out. The top bunk, which I booked this time, is not for the faint of heart, or anyone over 150lbs. I am a tall, thin female and lying on the mattress, I had less than a foot to falling off the bunk. The roof is an overhang across your body, so expect to hit the wall and ceiling regularly. You cannot sit up, you can barely even get up without smacking the ceiling. These bunks should be very cheap, one girl did fall off her bunk in the dark, be very careful! (And quiet please😉).

Clean updated facility. Staff were great. The rooms are tiny; however, I'd stay here again.

Falsely advertised as a private room

The Hotels.com description calls this a private room. It is not. It is the bottom bunk of a bunk bed with a door that mostly closes. The ad is misleading at best. Straight up false at worst. The “room” is tight as I could not stand straight ip without hitting my head on the roof. I will not return here because the comfort is low and the ad was false advertising.
Isaac, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Orchard Hostel is a relatively new dorm only hostel. Very unique design with double beds on the lower level with a privacy door and single bunks on upper level with privacy curtain. Lower level is "hobbit" design with low entry door requiring stooping to enter and exit and low ceiling limiting standing to those than 5'4". A very clean facility with well equipped kitchen. However, some adjustments needed in electricity outlet dedication on circuit board required to use appliances without circuit breakers going off. Definitely recommend!
Peg, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

Perhaps my fault, perhaps lack of adequate explanation in the advert, but I was expecting a private bedding area. The means by which the sleeping areas are made private vary, either a curtain for top bunks or a rolling door for bottom bunks. I thought the bottom door would create a fully private, and most importantly soundproofed, area. It does not. Unfortunately I know I snore, it's partly why I wanted a private bed not a multi occupancy dorm. I'm sure I disturbed other guests. Furthermore, there is no air con that I could see. I did manage to find an unplugged desk fan which I could use next to my bunk, but not everyone was so lucky and the doors to the outside were regularly left open overnight to allow cooling, which won't always be effective and is a security risk. When checking in staff suggested it was a common issue for people to misunderstand the dorm-style arrangements, I therefore humbly suggest they need clearer text and photographs.

Nice cozy bunks.
Suhas, 2-night trip

Super cool hostel- very well done bunks that feel very private, super good value for money. Would def recommend.
Maxime, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The "private rooms" are no more than the lower bunk bed with a sliding door and a very shoddy lock. However they were much more comfortable than the upper bunks looked.
Dean, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Good

If you’re tall, you probably wouldn’t enjoy it as much due to the bunk bed setting and overall “tight” nature of the spaces. In general, it’s cozy.

10/10 Exceptional

This probably is a rare occurrence but, I had the whole hostel to myself and loved it😀 It’s right on the Main Street entering Radium. There are regular dorm bunks, and just below them are little tiny private rooms with a sliding door, chain lock, double bed that you can sit up straight in, a night table with a lamp and outlet. Bathrooms were very clean, there was a full kitchen and little balconies if you need fresh air. This place is down the road from an amazing Austrian restaurant, and a 5 min drive from some great Cafe’s. I loved the whole place.
