For a single person, the room is great. The toiletries were nice, bed was comfortable for me. Pajamas fit well and had a nice soft feel. Did not eat at the facility so cannot rate the food. The staff overall were helpful and cordial. There was one gentleman that was not very happy but he was able to store my bags without issues. Affordable and a nice walk to the train station. Had ramen at the little place down the street. It is not a typical Tokyo hotel but I’m not in Tokyo to sit in my hotel. Would recommend.

The room was very cleaned and house keeping cleaned it everyday. The hotel is within a 10 minute walk to major hubs like Tokyo station, Ginza station, and Kyobashi station. The laundry service is unfortunately quite expensive, but there is a coin laundry place about 8 minutes of walking away. The Ginza area is very quiet which is good for sleep but less so for nightlife, you’ll need a taxi once the trains stop.

This hotel is upscale hotel, my first time booking at the Ginza district!
The male receptionists are very friendly. The female receptionists are very professional and helpful but look kind of stern.
ONE THING TO WATCH OUT FOR:
On Expedia, the booking showed a double bed, but when we arrived, it's ONLY a single bed. And the hotel kept asking if I would want to upgrade.
This kind of things happened to me twice already. So, I think it's very likely Expedia is being sneaky, that is, false advertising.

Excellent hotel in Ginza
This hotel is excellently located within a short walk of Tokyo station and very close to GINZA shopping area. There are lots of restaurants nearby. The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable and will do their best to help you. The standard rooms may be small when compared with the US, but they are larger than some hotels in Japan. I think it’s a good place to stay. There is a desk for work and the lightening is very good.

Monterey is a nice small hotel in Ginza, within walking distance of one of the most lively shopping area of Tokyo and of all sorts of dining places, from affordable to luxurious. Service is courteous and efficient. Rooms, although quite small, common by Japanese standards, are well equipped. One negative point is the lack of any English language channels (or any other foreign languages, for that matter). Again, this is not uncommon in Japan.
