Private owned room (Orgoto) at The Signature
AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS!!
CHECK-IN
with regular The Signature MGM staff. Everyone (valet, bellboy,front desk) were welcoming and friendly.
ROOM-
looked clean besides a few things (faded red stain on carpet by bedside and smudges on table top).
PROBLEM-
Early bedtime since we had a 3am wake up for Grand Canyon trip. Went to brush teeth and ROACH in the sink. It ran FAST to edges under sink cabinet. We had to go to bed, so i tried by best to sleep (hard to do worrying of them being all over and into our luggage!!!) We left room 3am (13+hr trip to GC) returned around 830pm. First thing we saw were 4 roaches in bathroom (toilet and sink area). Couldnt brush our teeth or even pee. Looked under the sink (in cabinet) full of roach droppings and couple more roaches- we took pic to show front)
No way we would stay here any longer!
FRONT DESK- unable to help as third party/private owned room. They apologized but claimed nothing they can do (not even look at the many other mgm locations for available rooms). They did try to call Orogoto, but were unable to reach anyone. Right away they stated they are almost impossible to communicate with (we couldnt even respond to hotel.com mgs, hotels com unable to reach either. Other staff disbelief nothing more was available for us.
OWN SOLUTION-
We paid for venetian, shook+carefully packed up our stuff, checked out that night!!
2+ hrs and extra $$$ later, in a clean room at another NOT MGM hotel.
