Great Classical Hotel

Cyashitsu ryokan offers a very different experience than staying at a hotel. During the check in process, the employees gave me a welcome tea and snack while explaining the property. The room was immaculate with a view of the street. You get a 45 minute use of the private spa.

wonderful hotel with a lot of history

It was a wonderful hotel with a lot of history. If I have the chance next time, I definitely want to visit this hotel again. The surrounding area is clean, good for walking, and Chinatown is right next door.

Our Tower room had a great view of the park and the bay. Service was outstanding. It would have been helpful to have an additional luggage space or rack (I didnt ask). The Japanese set dinner was very interesting and tasty - Kyoto style cuisine.

This is a beautifully maintained historic property that exudes elegance of another time. It is well-located by the waterfront across from Yamashita Park, near multiple shopping venues, and colorful Chinatown. The Keikyu limo bus to Haneda Airport stops right in front of the property. The staff are very attentive. We would return again.

Great place to stay

A very excellent hotel with excellent service. If you get a room that overlooks the bay the room is very large. For people who do not wish to eat at the restaurant which can be a little pricey there is a McDonald’s and a large selection of dining close by. The hotel is very near the cruise port for those taking a cruise. The hotel does not have a shuttle to the cruise port, but they arrange a taxi and the price is approximately six dollars. you could walk to the Chinatown area of Yokohama and approximately 3 to 5 minutes.

We checked in after midnight for a one night stay (our flight had been delayed). I ask if it was possible to do a late check out ( one hour) from 11 am to 12. Yes but 3500yen for one hour. That's a bit steep. Otherwise lovely hotel. Illy coffee in room.

We like the location because of its convenience. However we were asked to pay 3000 yen for two adults, and when it was booked we assumed it was charged by the room not by the number of person. It is very confusing and never heard of in US. Hopefully the property can make future booking more clearly to everyone! Thank you.
