An excellent alternative
This was an excellent alternative to all of the hotels downtown, more expensive with more difficult parking and much less quiet. The immediate area is not as great as it seems (I counted 6 homeless people just between the hotel and the closest street intersection!), but it somehow still remains quiet (a LOT more quiet than downtown!). It is more or less walkable to the city's attractions, but there are plenty of parkings at just $10-15 per day downtown, so it's not a big problem. It's worth it if you can get it for $30-40 less than downtown hotels.
The room was all okay, the central part of the hotel is absolutely fantastic (pool, spas, terrace, arcade room, children playgrounds, TVs to watch sports, etc.), the hotel restaurant is awesome as well... My only turnoff was the $20 parking charge. It's not even a closed parking with à gate, it's all open with McDonald's and Pizza Hut! It's ridiculous to charge for that, especially at this price even higher than downtown parking fées!
Overall, a very good choice that we may choose again next time.
