Let’s start with the fantastic and work south. Service was top-notch. They made me feel welcome at check-in, offered before I asked if I wanted to store a bag on my last day, and was generally “there”. The hotel is in a premium location. It’s right next to restaurants (and good ones) and within an easy walk to the Eiffel Tower. The hotel is central to most things. The bedding and the bed itself was clean and they made it up nicely.
The place is dated and in not-ok condition. Examples: multiple broken tiles in the bathroom, the shower is in a tub (and impossible to get the shower head to aim where you want because the wall attachment was loose, the carpet absolutely needs to be changed, and it’s generally tattered. The walls are really thin. Bring ear plugs.
It’s small. But you knew that. It’s Paris.
For the price, traveling on my own with very few expectations - it was just fine. I would struggle as a couple with a bag or two.
