Boutique Hotel in the Sumo district

This was a wonderful property to stay at when we first arrived in Tokyo. It's in the sumo district (Ryoguku), the hotel is nestled by the river. There is an elevated highway but you would never no it as the soundproofing is excellent. The metro is near by and there are plenty of food options in the area.

Overall is ok, check in wasnt as smooth as expected If hotel's check-in is listed at 3:00 PM, that means every guest, whether they arrived early or not, gets the same treatment, even 5mins early is not possible and you will get charge for additional night, when you arrives after 17hrs flights is very tiring to hear, despite that, we would like to shout out to the housekeeping team, who is outside the corridor waiting to clean our room everyday, and special thanks to Hirotsugu Matsuoka san thank you for making us feel so special and welcome on our return

Our new favorite hotel to stay in Tokyo. The location is prefect right next to the train station, food, sumo venue and the beautiful river. The room/suite was incredibly quiet and spacious. Our room faced the river with panoramic views. The staff were friendly and polite! The restaurant (anchor) delicious. I recommend the scallops and mushroom dish. We will definitely be back! Great location, it's just minutes of walk away from JR station, easy access to kombini, local restaurants, and just one station away from major shopping area and supermarket. The hotel itself is great, it's new and clean, with comfortable beds and modern interior design. Staff are great, they had no problem with English. The only thing that I would like to see is self-serve laundry. That would make our 5 night stay much better.
