Wouldn’t stay here again. Terrible area and left unsafe in the evening. I checked in with issues with my booking as it was advertised with a double bed a larger room but ended up in a single bed box room, air conditioning didn’t work and requested an extra pillow 3 times before I waiting in the reception to get one. I even checked out a day early as I disliked it so much and decide to continue with my travels

Genuinely very nice hotel. Large, modern and spacious lobby with helpful and friendly staff. I stayed in a single room with a balcony on the 2nd floor, room was a good size, as was the bed. Great shower with regular and rain fall style, and quite a large bathroom. Very clean, modern room with everything you could need. Superb location, super easy for connections to Bergamo airport and metro, both a couple of minutes walk away, and well located to walk to all the sights in the city. Able to set room temperature / air con was great. Only tiny complaints - would be good to be able to say I don't want room cleaning (e.g. using a door indicator like in other hotels) as it really wasn't needed for a short stay, would like liquid hand soap in the bathroom (a bar is kind of gross), a way to stop the shower making the whole bathroom floor wet (the shower curtains just aren't wide enough), and more than one pillow would be nice (I asked one evening for another, they said it would be brought to the room in "a couple of minutes" but I'm back home in England now and still waiting :-)). But overall, a great stay, good value and I would absolutely stay again.

While the specifics reads that they have AC, it is not available throughout the year. We stayed 1 night and they gave us 1 of the 2 rooms that they have in the lowest level (-1 floor). We could not power on the AC and when we called the front desk the woman told me that the hotel had the AC off because it was March and it was cold outside. I told her that the room was hot and she replied that I should open the window. I told her that if they gave me another room, I could do that but the room they gave me had the window towards the emergency stairs (inside the building) and when opened we could hear everyone on the stairs who where either smoking, drinking or just having loud conversations. She replied that the hotel was full and at 20:30 I didn’t had any other option. To be honest it was a bad experience and I even have photos of employees vaping on the stairs. If the AC will not be available during the whole year, they should’ve posted it on the description. I was mislead and falsely informed when booking this hotel and I will never, ever, stay here again. When people ask about my trip to Milan I will mention what did happened in this hotel. The only good thing about the Spice hotel was the breakfast and the breakfast staff. Front desk staff (specially the woman working the night of March 24) should retake the “Customer Service Class 101”.

My family and I stayed in three Standard Double Rooms in October 2024. Unfortunately, none of the rooms had air conditioning, nor was there an option to turn on the fan. The temperature for two of the rooms stayed at 24.5°C, while one room reached 27.5°C. We asked the front desk if they could turn on the AC, but they informed us that city regulations prevent air conditioning during this time of year. The staff mentioned that the heater was inadvertently on in the room set to 27.5°C and offered to turn it off. However, this didn’t resolve the issue, and the temperature remained the same. We had to keep the window open to cool the room down, but this created new concerns. Our room was on the main floor next to an entrance door, and the window lacked any safety bars—anyone could have easily climbed in. We found it challenging to sleep due to the lack of security, the frequent noise from people coming in and out, and the smell of smoke from guests and staff taking breaks nearby. Overall, the lack of temperature control and the safety concerns made for an uncomfortable experience.
