Disappointing Stay – Needs Serious Improvement
I stayed here for my birthday and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. The room I was given was in poor condition from the moment I walked in—there were dead bugs on the floor, dirty towels, and no robe, which was especially frustrating because I’d been looking forward to watching the sunrise on the balcony in comfort. When I mentioned the missing robe to staff, they didn’t offer to bring one for the rest of my stay, which felt dismissive.
One window had no blinds at all, and the shower drain backed up every time I used it—water was pooling above my ankles within a couple of minutes. I reported the issue, and while they offered to move me, I was off property for most of the day and leaving the next morning. The hassle of switching rooms so late in the stay just wasn’t worth it.
In my opinion, this room should’ve been marked out of order until the blinds and plumbing issues were fixed. It clearly wasn't ready for guests.
To their credit, they did comp my dinner from the night before and waived the resort fees for two nights, which I appreciated. But overall, the stay didn’t feel like the relaxing birthday getaway I’d hoped for.
A few other notes:
Poolside service is extremely slow.
The food menu is limited.
The resort is fairly far out from central Scottsdale. I wish I had rented a car—Uber rides were $30–$50 each way to most places.
Sadly, I wouldn’t stay here again unless major improvements are made.
