At first our stay was good. We picked it for the location and being able to enjoy the outdoor pool during our stay. Front staff was very nice & helpful in checking in, room was decent and seemed clean. Definitely skimpy on bath towels, but was able to get more from the staff. However, when reaching our room, we were met with stale cigarette and weed smells from next door. The evening it was loud with voices yelling. By 10 o’clock it was a full on party zone with blaring music, loud voices, beating on doors and lots of people in the hallway. This went on until the early morning when it finally quieted down some, but then people started coming back and the loud voices and beating on doors continued to keep us awake.
We didn’t finish out our stay there as planned and checked out the next day early. Front staff seemed ‘shocked’ and did apologize but didn’t seem to care we had to check out early. (For one, we needed sleep!)
Front staff did say if we stayed there again, we wouldn’t have that experience again, but we won’t take that chance & will not be staying at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oklahoma City-NW Expressway.
As far as the room itself- overall was decent and clean. Bathroom had updated large mirror & counter and updated tile, however bathtub was old, small and stained, no bathroom fan & the bifold doors were broken & did not lock. New, larger pillows would be appreciated for the beds. Lastly, the room was a 0 for eco-friendly & need to update with modern times.
