My experience at the Belvedere Hotel was deeply disappointing and troubling. I had prepaid over $2,000 for my stay, and despite arriving late, I expected my reservation to be honored as is standard in reputable hotels. Instead, I was told there was no room available for me the evening I arrived, though they admitted there were rooms for the rest of my scheduled stay.
Rather than honoring my prepaid reservation, the hotel chose to keep my full payment while offering me no accommodation and no assistance. This type of business practice is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about integrity and customer service.
Particularly concerning was my interaction with Lisa, the assistant manager. In my opinion, honesty and hospitality are not her strengths. Instead of helping resolve the situation, her handling of the matter only added to the frustration.
Hotels are in the business of welcoming guests, not exploiting them. Taking payment without providing a room and then refusing to rectify the issue is beyond poor service—it is a breach of trust. Travelers should be cautious when booking here.
