A Man Walked Into My Room!
A man unlocked my door and walked into my room! We were both given keys to the same room. And I left right away and booked another hotel.
To start, when I walked in, the receptionist didn’t acknowledge me and then acted like I was putting her out. After the man unlocked the door and walked in to the room, I was so upset, I said he should stay and I was leaving. I talked to the receptionist again and she said that my correct room was different and apologized but didn't make me feel safe. I said I wanted my whole refund and she said since I booked through a 3rd party. I’d have to talk to them. I called Expedia and they talked to her and said they would get back to me within 72 hrs.
I hadn’t heard back so I called the hotel. The manager said she had no idea this happened and the receptionist never put it in her notes or alerted her. So if I hadn’t called back, this would have never been dealt with. I was given a full refund, but I will never stay at this place again. This is the 2nd time I have had a bad experience with Sonesta brand hotels.
This is ranked as a 2 star on Google, so I don't know how it is 3 on here. The hotel smelled musty and had a bad paint job covering up previous paint. How have people given this place good reviews is beyond me. The room was rundown and not what the pictures show. The staff was not dress in ratty t-shirts. The professionalism was terrible, until I talked to the manager.
