We had the best time here. The hotel room was spacious and clean and the private onsen was amazing each night after miles of walking and hiking. If we ever come back to Hakone we would definitely stay here. Perfect location. Easy walk from the train and the hotel held our luggage before checkin so we could explore a bit.

Loved our experience at this hotel- we only stayed one night but wished we stayed longer! We booked the room that has a rooftop hot tub and it was absolutely perfect l. Beds were comfortable, room had tatami mat, and the hot tub was very private, also always full of fresh hot water! We look forward to returning one day!

This is a luxury property close to the main shopping street and station. You do not have to book a room with private onsen there are several day use onsen in the area where you can book a private room. I would recommend this hotel for your stay in Hakone.

Beautiful room with nice amenities. A combination of zen vibe and modern design. Wish check in was earlier than 5:00 pm. There was some confusion about the reservations but ultimately staff was accommodating. Easy walk to downtown Hakone Yumoto.

There is 2 flights of stairs to the entrance of the property which isn't mentioned in advertising and very dark and moody. Great bathroom and comfy bed. Everything is just a little low compared normal bed and chair height.

The room was absolutely incredible and the amenities were fantastic. Although we visited in summer and the heat was extreme, the rooftop onsen was still a highlight. Sitting up there while looking up at the Hakone mountains was an unforgettable experience. Hotel is smal and intimate and we very highly recommend dining at the restaurant for an incredible sushi experience.

We had a fantastic stay in Zagakukan in Hakone. We were celebrating our honeymoon, and the staff made our visit very special, with best service and nice bedding in the room! Unforgettable and the private onsen on tre rooftop was amazing! Highly recommend 2 nights in this hotel.

Absolutes Top Hotel! Wir waren sehr früh da und könnten daher noch nicht einchecken. Allerdings wurden unsere Koffer bis zum Check in aufbewahrt. Als wir dann eingecheckt hatten waren wir überrascht, dass unsere Koffer sogar schon aufs Zimmer gebracht wurden. Das Zimmer selbst war sehr sehr geräumig und hatte alles was das Herz begehrt inklusive Privatonsen! Absolut Empfehlenswert!

The parking is not within the property so you have to park your car in the parking lot which is 6-7 minutes walking distance from the property. Our room did not have a view from the window but it was nice. We would stay there again.

Absolut fantastisk hotel! En kort gåtur fra Hakone-Yumoto station, og på trods af sen indtjekning kunne vi aflevere vores kufferter på hotellet, og gå en tur indtil vores værelse var klar. Meget komfortabel seng, og der var alt man skulle bruge på værelset. Virkelig venligt personale, meget hjælpsomme.
