I picked this hotel because it was a last minute plan change but Overall the hotel was ok, the bedroom did have a lot of dead bugs and the bed sheets had stains on it so we slept with our own blankets, our first room didn’t have a working A/c unit but once I told them about it they gave us another room with no issues which was nice and the pool was kept clean and it’s good size plus it has a deep end at 8 1/2

HORRIBLE. We showed up, immediately there were flying gnats in our room. I tried to call the front desk (our phone did not work). Finally got in touch with someone - 2 of my travel people also went to the front desk to also report it and they sent someone to our room. The woman spoke no English. Fixed the phone but did not say anything about the bugs. The next day I woke up to bites all over my ankles. Went to check out and told them we were not happy - they claimed they offered a room change - they did not. Told me to request my refund thru hotels.com and they denied the refund claiming they offered to clean the room and we denied it. That was not true. While we were checking out we ran into other families who also complained about bugs and said there was a lot of drug dealing and shooting hp in the back

scrambled eggs and ants
everything was just mediocre lots of dead bugs behind night stands sheets kept coming off beds went to eat the first morning ants were all in the food and food area never saw any people working to mention it to there were multiple people saw this and walked away disgusted gotta do better especially if the breakfast is part of your prices for staying there

Security Issue
The doors at each end of the building/corridor leading to each room was equipped to be locked but was open some distance the entirety of my stay.
If left standing open long enough, some one will find it.

Very poor service
You walk into lobby and greeted by a man behind a computer / kiosk. The connection was not great and made it difficult to understand. If you want toiletries or something they have a locker that is popped rather than dealing directly with a customer service person. The bed is surrounded by thin sheet metal so every time you get to close and kick it the sound is loud like a gong. Also, they added additional fees which is not disclosed until you check out (through the kiosk) and they don’t tell you anything. Trying to call to get answers is just as bad. I will never stay at this location again. Plenty of spots to choose from. I usually don’t leave bad reviews but I was annoyed by this place. Especially after being disconnected twice when trying to get answers via phone.

We have never checked into a hotel that was virtual so that was a little odd. We put our do not disturb sign up the 2 days we was there and it was a struggle to get towels from the front when we needed them.

This hotel sits on an amazing property.The marshlands are beautiful.
Unfortunately the hotel is in desperate need of a remodel refurbish. No one is there to greet you when you arrive,there is a virtual kiosk in the lobby.
As I was being checked in by Sid the virtual person in the kiosk, he took 3 phone calls. After asking me all of the questions I had already been asked online when I made the reservation, I was told that my room would be on the first floor. I asked if that was overlooking the marsh and was told no I would have to be on the 2nd floor in order to have a marsh reservation, which I had already put in for ahead of my arrival.
I was not given any direction on how to get to my room.Nor how to access the internet nor any information on when breakfast was served. If there was a elevator on the property , I never found it. After bringing my luggage upstairs walked into my room, the A/C was not turned on and the room was very stuffy.
I walked to the window to look out at the marsh, the windows were filthy.
There were stains on some of the linens.
The hallway smelled of cigarette smoke.
The water was not hot on my second day. There was a note saying if you needed anything contact the front desk. Obviously this is retorical since no one works the front desk.

Fair considering price and proximity to venue.
Stairs to second floor need repair. Room could have been cleaner, especially bathtub. One wash cloth soiled. Good location relative to venue.

I’d never go back there
Dirty towels pillow cases etc yellowish stains outside behind my room dirty bags crap laying around lost water at night couldn’t shower in morning brown water after water issue fixed was also never notified this was going to take place side entry door broken place wasn’t secure anyone could walk in to a specific part of building also no real person at front desk it was on a video call beds never got stripped redone clean sheets ran out of tp too never ever would I go back there was breakfast all tops covers sticky so we didn’t have complimentary breakfast there either pool had leaves bugs in it too walk way with awning on it was a green tarp for rain cover horrible etc.

Everything was pretty bad, it was dirty, one of the mayor reasons we chose this hotel was because of the pool and the pool was never open do to maintenance and no one ever work on it. One of the mornings we woke up and there was like 3 cops car. It was pretty scary.

I was disappointed in the fact that some areas look run down, needs a make over. Loved the new lighted mirrors but eould rather you replaced the shower heads, not very good. Chair had grease marks on top of where you sit back so I used a bath towel to cover the chair, appeared dirty.

The stay was a stay I thought it was a hotel not a motel. I never stayed at a hotel where they left instruction on how to make sure your dead bolt is locked om your door . I kinda felt uncomfortable so i left the next day my stay was for 2 days.

We don’t get the opportunity our reservations got canceled two hours prior to check I. We spent over three hours trying to find a room somewhere else. We will never book with your hotels again. This was an important trip and we were left with nowhere to stay.
