The hotel is in a great location, at 1st Avenue and 49th Street. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the metro, but very close to two bus stops, so getting around by public transportation was easy.
We had a room with a separate kitchen and bedroom. It was clean when we arrived, though there was some dust buildup in less obvious spots, like under the bed and in the air vents.
Housekeeping is only provided once a week, but you can get fresh towels at the front desk if needed.
The bathroom doesn’t have ventilation, but it somehow stays dry.
The apartment could benefit from some wall art or decorations to improve the overall atmosphere.
We had a great time exploring New York, and felt that the hotel was just what we needed — not the most expensive, not the cheapest. Great location, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. Plus, there’s a rooftop bar (Ophelia) with an amazing view, perfect for a drink before bed
