This is a small town in Italy away from everything. 4 hours and 2 trains from Rome. This bed and breakfast (coffee and croissant in the Centrale Bar in the piazza below) may be one of only a few places here to stay. They have no fast food chains in this town of about 12,000 but it is a slice of Italy that hasn't changed much in the last 50 years. The accommodations were very good but there is no staff onsite. Assistance if needed is by phone. Small shops and restaurants are only blocks away. We would recommend Cibo restaurant. This B&B is at the corner of piazza with at least 3 restaurants plus the bar next to our stay. So, why go there? My grandfather was born there in 1890. His father there in 1850 and his grandfather there in 1824. Got to meet a distant relative and family.
