I was looking forward to staying at a Hilton for the first time, but I left feeling a bit disappointed for a few reasons.
First, the parking fees seemed unusually high. Guests were being charged $50 per night, which is even more expensive than what I’ve paid for parking in Las Vegas during major events. It would feel more reasonable if hotel guests received a discounted rate, especially since some alternative parking options are located off property and not very convenient.
Second, breakfast was advertised on Hilton’s website, but when my wife asked about it Saturday morning, we were told there was none available. Unfortunately, the staff member who explained this wasn’t very polite, which added to the frustration. Clear and accurate information on the website—and a friendlier delivery—would go a long way in improving the guest experience.
On the positive side, our room itself was very comfortable. The AC worked well (though a bit loud), and the shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water.
Overall, we still plan on staying with Hilton in the future because of the brand’s reputation, but I hope other locations are more aligned with what’s advertised and offer a warmer, more accommodating experience.
