Aplaya Beach Bar is an open-air restaurant that specialises in Mediterranean food served amid a hippy and very chill environment. Located right on White Beach, towards the end of Station 1, this restaurant is a great venue to start or finish your day.

Located on White Beach, at Station 2, Cha Cha’s Beach Café is a well-thought-out modern venue that's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Even though Cha Cha’s Beach Café has an international menu, its Filipino dishes are exceptional.

Hoy Panga Boracay is a cool restaurant that advertises itself as "classic Filipino food – fiesta-style dining". If you’re searching for a festive restaurant to sample genuine Philippines cuisine, you can’t go wrong at Hoy Panga Boracay on White Beach – Station 2.

Mesa Filipino Moderne is, as its name implies, a contemporary-style local restaurant. Part of the Henann Regency Resort on White Beach, between Stations 2 and 3, it serves exquisite Filipino food at moderate prices.

You’ll obviously find all the classics of this cuisine here, with each dish rich in flavours. Popular options include Lechón, sisig and adobo, with each delicately prepared by the competent kitchen team. The restaurant’s location on the beachfront also makes it a very pleasant sundowner spot.

The signature restaurant of the stylish Henann Regency Resort & Spa on the southern side of White Beach – Station 2, Sea Breeze Café is a spotless contemporary-styled beachfront dining venue. The restaurant is especially famous for its huge, high-quality buffets. They have what seems to be an endless choice of exquisite dishes to eat.

Seafood is one of the main items on show in the buffets, which include a sushi counter, squid, crab, prawn, fish, and much more. It’s all prepared following various international recipes, adding even more variety. The buffet is priced at 700 pesos per person (for dinner – it’s cheaper for breakfast and lunch), which is really a bargain for what’s on offer.

The breezy-yet-cosy Steakhouse Boracay serves imported steaks and fine wines from California, Germany, Australia and France. Located on White Beach – Station 1, recommended dishes include the tasty schnitzel with pan-fried potatoes, spare ribs, and fish carpaccio. 

Other European specialities such as sausages and pasta are also available. With most of the ingredients imported, prices are naturally a bit higher than eating local dishes, but without getting into budget-breaking territory.

Established in 2015 on Calle Remedios at Station 3, Subo Boracay is an elegant restaurant with a quaint design that blends thatch roofing, wooden panels and brightly coloured windows. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the cuisine served at Subo could not be more Filipino, as it was the main purpose of its establishment. 

The owners wanted to make a 100% dedicated Filipino venue in Boracay, and they succeeded. You’ll many of the Philippines’ favourite dishes here, as well as an excellent selection of wines, all at reasonable prices.

The Hobbit Tavern is quite a unique and novel setting for a long list of international dishes and live music every day for lunch and dinner. As the name suggests, the restaurant is themed on the characters from JRR Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. It takes the theme to an unusual extreme, however, since all of the staff are little people. The restaurant also sells lovely souvenirs like T-shirts and mugs.

It may sound funny and somehow paradoxical, but the Pig Out Bistro is one of the best seafood restaurants in Boracay. This small eatery is located in a modern building just opposite Astoria Boracay, near Station 1. Their seafood platter is one of the favourite dishes on the menu as it can easily feed up to 5 people. But you can also find original specialities here, such as the crab burger or the oysters mignonette. Service is excellent, and prices are fair.

Located on the rooftop of Ferra Hotel Boracay, in the centre of the island, The Ruf Resto Bar is an excellent spot for enjoying a sundowner and genuine Filipino grub. The sinuglaw (grilled pork belly and fish ceviche) is to die for, while their chicken and pork adobo (stewed meats with vinegar, soy sauce, and spices) is also extremely recommended. There are plenty more dishes on the menu, all prepared to a very high standard.

As one of the top rooftop restaurants in Boracay, The Ruf is understandably lively and can get quite busy around sunset. If you’re hoping for a romantic dinner around that time, be sure to book ahead. Price-wise, the restaurant (and the hotel it belongs to) are about mid-ranged.

The name Tilapia 'N Chips says it all – it’s basically a Filipino version of the iconic British fish and chips shop. The tilapia has become one of the most widely eaten fish in the world, thanks to its pleasant and mild taste, low price, and ease of farming, and it makes a tasty alternative to the more traditional cod and haddock.

Tilapia ‘N Chips’ menu is not limited to just this dish, however. They also have a good choice of other seafood and meat dishes. However, the signature dish is definitely what most people come to eat at this friendly and modern restaurant. Rates are also reasonable.

Vintana is one of the stylish restaurants that belong to the no-less stylish Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort & Spa. It’s a great place to sample genuine Filipino food on the upscale side, although it offers other types of cuisine (western, Indian, and Asian) as well.

Pick a table on the terrace or near a window if you prefer to dine in an air-conditioned space, then enjoy a short yet good choice of genuine Filipino dishes, including fresh local spring rolls, sinigang salmon or pork, bistek tagalog (beef tenderloin, braised onion, calamansi, soy and atchara), and more.

Dos Mestizos is an unpretentious restaurant that serves a wide range of Filipino-Castilian dishes. The menu has tapas, seafood, soups, paellas (no less than 5 types of paellas are available) and other dishes blending Spanish and Philippine influences, in style.

JC Remedios and JR Nieto, the 2 founders the place is named after originally made it a rustic, down-to-earth sort of venue. Within a few years of opening, though, Dos Mestizos has become one of the most famous and successful eateries in Boracay.

Lemoni Café and Restaurant is an open-sided venue that's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Simply decorated, the place is as pleasant and refreshing as the dishes it serves. You can start your day with all-day American and Filipino breakfasts and then return for light snacks, salads and sandwiches for lunch. 

In the evening, dishes such as grilled pork chops or pan-fried mahi-mahi are very popular, as are a great selection of homemade pastries and homebaked bread. Overall, Lemoni Café is an affordable eatery that really delivers on quality.

Get ready for a refined experience at Sirena Seafood Restaurant. Located on the grounds of the stylish Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort & Spa, on the west coast of the island, Sirena is made of a large wooden terrace featuring open-sided cabanas, outdoor lounges, and tables around a fire pit.

This venue is a stunning sundowner spot at which you can indulge yourself with a vast assortment of tapas, cocktails, and international seafood dishes with a Filipino twist. Desserts are also highly recommendable at Sirena. If you're looking for a restaurant to impress, this should be it.

Aria Cucina Italiana is a modern trattoria located at the beachfront entrance of D’Mall. Its seaside location makes it a great sundowner spot. The restaurant serves all the classic dishes of Italian cuisines, such as homemade pasta, wood-fired oven-baked pizza, as well as meat and seafood prepared as they would be on the shores of the Mediterranean. The atmosphere is casual and the décor unpretentious, which makes Aria Cucina and a very pleasant place to dine.

Specialising in all-day breakfasts and light dishes blending American and Filipino influences, The Sunny Side Café is a small and modern venue in a relaxing setting. Located on the Station 3 beachfront, toward the southern end of White Beach, The Sunny Side Café has indoor and outdoor dining areas.

The most popular dishes here are the bacon and mango grilled sandwich, The Sunny Side Café Chori Burger (a Filipino take on an American classic dish), the Espresso-caramel pancakes and the avocado-bacon smash. Prices are mid-range.

This gastropub on White Beach – Station 1 gives you the opportunity to sample fine dishes that blend international and Philippine flavours. From nachos to seafood platters, and from oyster Rockefeller (one of the most popular dishes here) to chorizo and mushroom risotto, the menu is certainly diverse at Los Indios Bravos. The décor of the restaurant is stylish without being too ostentatious, and the atmosphere is casual. Rates are in line with the high quality of the dishes served here.

Spicebird is the place to go if you like tender and juicy meats barbecued to your taste and accompanied by a spicy sauce prepared with unique African chilli named Piri-Piri. It’s a small and modern restaurant between Stations 2 and 3, right next to D’Mall.

The other dishes available here include Portuguese specialities as well as burgers. Most of them feature at least a little bit of Piri-Piri, so get ready for a hot experience. Prices are affordable.

Established in 2004, Smoke Resto serves a great choice of Filipino specialities at very affordable rates. The most popular dishes here include bulalô (light beef soup), beef salpicao, and vegetable okoy – 3 favourites of the local cuisine. Smoke Resto has 2 branches in Boracay: the main one is located in the D’Mall market, while the second sits right next to Freestyle Academy Kitesurfing on the Bulalog beachfront. Down to earth and friendly, Smoke Resto should be your place of choice if you’d like to sample genuine Filipino food.
