The historical building is attractively renovated and the public spaces look cool. The hotel accommodated our need for two twin beds, but the room itself was quite small for a "deluxe double room". Front desk staff was very helpful, especially Pablo! Nice to have a rooftop pool, but the pool is also quite small (don't be deceived by the photo). The views from the rooms are of urban rooftops, though there is a good view of the water and an oil refinery from the roof. Areas to improve: housekeeping was not great, one bed was made with a prominent bloodstain on the corner of the bottom sheet, and one day the cleaners left a rag on top of our luggage. The first night we had turndown service with fresh water bottles, the second night no turndown. We happened to leave about an hour later that evening, but with only 16 rooms, the staff should be able to accommodate different schedules. Most of the decor is nice, but the long synthetic shag rug in the room is a terrible choice: hot and unpleasant to walk on. Air conditioning is positioned blowing directly on the beds so it's hard to cool the room without freezing yourself while sleeping. Breakfast: nice choice of Indian breakfast items, but the buffet and waitstaff were not ready by 8 AM, though breakfast is supposed to start at 730.
