Arcos/Algar trip
Not a great booking in, as the girl spoke no English and we were told to park in the local parking which was 15 euro for the night, forgetting to say we got 5 euros off for staying in a local hotel. We booked off the Hotel.com site and at 45 euros thought we’d got a bargain, but our room had been photographed very well and in fact had no windows, was small and the A/C didn’t work. The bathroom or shower room was a bit strange with 2 toilets and no bath. The WiFi worked intermittently, very small transmitter and didn’t work or crashed when used in the room, also there was no sign of the water advertised.
On the plus side, the rooms were extremely clean, the decor was good and the hotel was very well located. The breakfast was good and we met the owner there who spoke good English, shame she wasn’t at the booking in. I would stay there again, but only in one of the better more expensive rooms
