Good property that could use some upgrades
While the property is a very nice one and I've stayed there before and hope to stay there again there were some issues this trip as follows: (1) The hot tub was lukewarm. (2) The television screen was quite small by modern standards (3) we were placed in a room next to the elevator even though the property was hardly full. (The intake individual was very pleasant btw, probs a computer issue?).

Fabulous Stay
The hotel was fabulous. The room was clean, large and roomy, comfortable and inviting. Bathroom lighting was great, loved the vanity and shower - well arranged. We enjoyed our visit and wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast area was immaculate, food fresh and beverage variety was excellent as well. Highly recommend this hotel. Oh, and staff and reception were great.

Good stay with great price
Overall this was a good stay. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed it. The beds are comfortable and the rooms were nice and clean. The only down sides: really noisy. At one point there was so much noise outside our door that I went to see what was going on and it was the housekeeping staff. So bit very soundproof at all. We could hear the people’s tv in the room next to us. But thankfully it was usually during awake hours. The cleaning solution they used was extremely strong and the chemicals irritated my lungs but by the last day they seemed to be diluting it so it wasn’t so bad. Housekeeping never serviced our room for some reason so we had to ask for towels and toilet paper. I enjoyed It enough that i would stay there again but it wouldn’t be my first choice. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and I give the front desk high ratings.

False advertising with payment arrangement
My first impression of la Quinta was not good. On hotels.com I chose the option to pay at the location when I arrived. However I noticed that the hotel kept running my card to pay for the room MULTIPLE HOURS BEFORE I EVEN ARRIVED. Because my card wasn’t in travel mode yet, my card kept declining it. I noticed that the tried to run my card over three times. I called and explained that I did the option to pay at the hotel. The front desk staff said they don’t do that and I needed to pay now over the phone if they will give my room away. I had placed this trip months in advanced and was worried they were going to give my room away. I ended up giving my credit card number over the phone which made me very uncomfortable because of the lack of security this offers. I was not happy with doing this at all and honestly really gave me a bad impression with the la Quinta hotel chain.
