We love those 1950s style hotels. Small, affordable, and tons of character. Location of Palms is perfect. We’ve stayed in Delray, Deerfield, and Boca. Compared to these places, Pompano seems to be undergoing some gentrification. Entire blocks are being torn down and high rise developments are going in. The beaches were pretty, the public areas were exceptionally maintained. Tons of restaurants and coffee spots.
The staff at Palms was very attentive. The grounds looked freshly updated and having a convenience store on site was great. The beach was easily accessible even though there is a 20 story condo high rise going in across the street. Be aware there is no ocean view anymore and pics should be updated on Expedia, but we would stay again.
