We had a prior stay in town for 6 days/5 nights with daughter, her husband, two very young children and enjoyed a lovely family holiday. Mainly sunny if chilly weather, lovely gardens and exciting gondola trip to the viewpoint over the town and sea.

Absolutely lovely. Wondered why we had never been to New Zealand before. Easy to walk around, scenic landscape everywhere, lots of water activities. Enjoyed the cruise, stroll through the gardens and around the lake. Friendly people. Quality dining

Gorgeous city with a surprising amount of great restaurants and shopping given its relatively small size. We loved the beautiful walking and trails in the surrounding woods in the day, and then came into the city in the evenings for dinner.

Easily walkable, 10 minutes to get to downtown and sidewalks are wide and most vehicles wait for you to pass. Lots of activities and restaurants and cute little cafes. 100% would visit the gardens and beaches and give a local cafe a go!

A busy town. Hard to get parking but plenty to see and do. Botanic Gardens were stunning. TSS Earnslaw was worth the expense to treat myself. Plenty for the adrenalin junky but also the relaxed tourist. Gondola is a must see and do!

Queenstown was my favorite stop. Be sure to check out Frank's Corner (on the same block as The Dairy) for locally made souveniers. There are so many shops and restaurants to choose from, so be prepared to wander!

Queenstown centre about 7km away is lively with plenty of places to eat and drink. The lake and surrounding mountain views are superb. Highly recommended is a visit to Arrowtown, about 16km away.

Queenstown in Summer is just gorgeous, a great way to see the landscape and enjoy all the walks and activities available - there is a lot!
"Once again this is my third stay here and it’s all about location and view. This time got the suite with balcony and that’s a game changer, taking in the amazing view through a window is nice but sitting outside taking in the cool clean air is worth the extra money. I still believe the whole place is in need of some serious updating but is very clean and staff amazing. Food options still not great. But would be happy to stay here again "
"We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and seemed to have been updated rec style. Staff were very helpful. Location is great very walkable with good connections to airport and ski field transports nearby. "
