Decent for a Short Stay But Expensive
The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was decent but at night we saw large roaches/waterbugs in the eating area due to the windows being open. Did not see them during the day nor while eating. The rooms did not have wifi although staff said it did. Room was very tight, cable continuously interrupted and we had to unplug box and take out card multiple times to watch tv, most stations in Portuguese and room was not very clean. Towels and sheets had stains after being washed and there was not a microwave in room although I requested it. Behind the lobby desk, there is a kitchen with stove, microwave and refrigerator accessible for all guests. Couldn't print out my boarding pass and front desk employee couldn't figure it out. The stay is ok for a short stay but was expensive for the type of room.

Hostel
We stayed here for the Olympics so we didn't plan to be in the room much to begin with anyway. This is definitely not a B&B. It's more of a nice hostel. Rooms are very small which is fine but we had a private bathroom which was great. Pros: Great location. The staff is very friendly and the building is very secure with a 24 hour door person. Private rooms with private bathrooms. Cons: Very small, noisy. Our AC was broken and continued to leak water all over the wall and TV. We had to replace our cable box 2 times because the water damaged it. Overall it was a fine place for us. We were really only there to shower and sleep. But this is a hostel not a hotel or B&B.

Not very nice
I knew I was booking on the low end of the price scale for Copacabana, and it was hard to get a feel for the rooms from the pictures, but even still I was not satisfied. The rooms were extremely small (we looked at others), barely any room outside of the beds. Our room looked to be in a state of repair, as there were holes cut in the drywall ceiling with wires holding the pieces in place. No glass on light fixtures - just bare bulbs. Wires hanging everywhere from the tv and cable box on the wall, with the power cord going into the bathroom as the outlet below the tv did not work. The walls were dirty - definitely needed a fresh paint job or a hard cleaning. The towels were old and faded, the pillows hard and the mattress was not comfortable. But the A/C did work and the shower had got water, so that was a plus. Also, the desk personnel were pleasant and did extend us a late checkout on Sunday.

Hard beds
The twin beds in my room were incredibly hard! It was literally an inch thin mattress on top of a plywood base. It made sleeping almost impossible. There was no way to be comfortable even laying on your side. On the other hand, the breakfasts were nice. I loved the good coffee and the fresh papaya!

Ett enklare Hotel /Vandrarhem två kvarter från Copacabana beach. Mitt i stan med affärer och restauranger överallt. Rummet var basic med aircon, Tv och bra Wi-Fi. Enda lilla problemet var att det saknades varmvatten en dag. Frukost helt ok. Bäst av allt var personalen som var väldigt hjälpsam.

O local não é de muito conforto, mas é bem seguro e bem localizado. Já é minha segunda estadia neste hotel e estou satisfeita. O café da manhã é extremamente simples, fica a dica para pensarem em dar uma incrementada e pensar em servir mais cedo, pois 08:30 é muito tarde.
