Our flight got in way before check-in time & was able to get checked in right away. The room was clean, had a white noise machine, very comfortable robes, & Nespresso machine. The breakfast provided was delicious & the staff were friendly. We were sad to leave & would definitely stay again.

Each room is perfectly curated with all amenities to make the stay comfortable, even including a Roku, welcome scones, and white noise machine. The ambience is perfect due to the kind hotel staff and picturesque decor. A true oasis in the middle of bustling Houston!

Lovely Inn just west of downtown located near so many bars and restaurants. Rooms were fantastic and my bed was so comfortable. I stayed in one of the downstairs carriage house rooms and it was comfortable, with a great bathroom, and beautiful furnishings. Enjoyed my stay and will stay again on my next trip to Houston. Staff is outstanding and the main house is gorgeous. Enjoyed the Bar Madonna and enjoyed the included breakfast. Highly recommend.

We had the Thelma room and it had en excellent bed, shower and airco. If you have people upstairs you might hear it as there is a staircase next to the room and a room above. Staff is excellent as well and Tim and the young lady were especially helpful. The valet guy was super friendly and so was the rest of the staff we met. Breakfast is limited in choice but very good in quality.

Excellent excellent excellent. Every employee at The Marlene was so kind, so helpful, and so generous. We chose The Marlene to stay while we were in town for two days during our son's surgery, and it was perfect. They greeted our son by name when we arrived and were always checking in on how he was doing. We stayed in the Cottage and loved it. It felt like the property was ours. We cannot wait to go back for another stay or visit to Bar Madonna. We are absolutely in love with The Marlene Inn.

We had the Morrow room - which was lovely. However, I am only 5 foot tall and the mirror in the bathroom was hung for taller individuals. I could only see my eyes - yikes. I was however able to solve the problem with another mirror that was hung in the room that I took down and sat on the floor to put on my makeup. On another note, My husband uses a CPAP at night and the outlet by the bed was connected to the wall lights so if you turn off the lights - then the CPAP wouldn't work. We solved the problem here by unscrewing the lightbulbs to the two wall sconces so the outlet would work. Now, the bar and downstairs and outside areas were lovely. Friday night is a lot of fun there. Staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Would highly recommend and go back.
