Learn more about Zadar
Along the seafront promenade, the Sea Organ plays haunting melodies created by waves pushing air through underwater pipes. Nearby, the Sun Salutation captures daylight and creates a mesmerising light show after sunset. Roman ruins stand alongside medieval churches in this ancient walled city, where history feels casually abundant. The Cathedral of St. Anastasia towers over narrow limestone streets that open suddenly into sunny squares. Duck into the Museum of Ancient Glass to see delicate Roman artefacts displayed with surprising wit. After exploring Zadar's old town, join locals at sunset when they gather by the sea. The Times didn't call this the "entertainment centre of the Adriatic" for nothing.

Boutique Hostel Forum
"Fantastic hostel with amazing view from double room and great breakfast, facilities etc. really fab thanks so much x"
Art Hotel Kalelarga
"Absolutely fantastic location in the heart of Zadar old town. Lovely rooms with super comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer!"
Hotel Porto
"We used this as a transition place to stay from a late flight into Zadar before we could get into our apartment. It's pretty close to the airport and worked well for our needs. The room was basic but clean and sufficient. The breakfast was also varied and provided a great start to the day, was varied enough to cater for two children. Staff were super friendly and even though we arrived around midnight, all was well checking in. As a place to stay for convenience of flights, would recommend."
Hyatt Regency Zadar
"A relatively new and well-maintained hotel in Zadar, with the Old Town just a short boat-taxi ride away. The facilities were all in excellent condition, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, and the terrace at the front of the hotel was a lovely spot to relax with a drink while enjoying the sea views."
Apartments Villa Karla
"We only stayed for a short time arrived after 6pm and left befor 10am. Stayed twice once in an appartment on the first floor and once in the semi basement. Both were excellent and the checkin was remote and easy. Both apartments were modern/clean and had everything you would expect plus a few nice extras. Would stay again! 😊"
Heritage hotel Bastion
"We stayed for 2 nights at this excellent small hotel. The staff were very welcoming and exceptionally helpful. The dining was great, both at the included breakfast and also in the hotel's Kastel restaurant. Our room on the 3rd floor was large, comfortable and well air-conditioned. The main attractions of the Old Town of Zadar (Sea Organ, Roman Forum, St. Anastasia Cathedral, a range of good restaurants, etc.) are all within an easy walk. I see someone else posted complaint about noise from a bar across the street. Yes, you could hear it if your room faced the street and harbour as ours did; but it stopped both nights by 11pm, so was not really a problem for sleeping."
Hotel Kolovare
"Basically right on the beach. Safe room was nice with balcony, super clean, modern. Front desk super friendly and helpful. Close too old town Zadar, about 10 minutes walk"
Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Iadera
"The hotel was excellent and very clean. All staff were very friendly and helpful especially Nikolina at reception and Jakob in the lounge bar. We enjoyed lovely meals at Planika and Bracera and a particular mention to Alexandria who provided excellent customer service throughout our entire meal. The hotel’s own restaurant where breakfast and dinner is served is also excellent with very tasty dishes and again great customer service. Thank you, we will return"
